I meant the interpretation, not the turntable. I'm just used to it much slower, and too old to embrace a new version of an old friend.

What you hear is the quality of the recording, not the sound of the system. There's no way to tell what it really sounds like. To acheive that requires at least two mics @600€ each, the gear to plug the mics into and the knowledge how to use all of that.

​​@@adrianguggisberg3656 that is so true. The Shure smartphone clipon mic I am using is rather shouty. And I had attempts of recording audio with two mics in my room, but they were bidirectional large diaphragm mics, so they were picking reflections off even more surfaces than the clipon mic. Good shotguns would do it but if I go that route, it will not be a video every week. More likely once a month and things would get left out.

@@adrianguggisberg3656 Ok, I got it. From now on I only look at the equipment, I don't take into account the sound. I suspected there was something to the sound, seeing many pictures from showrooms... So you need special equipment to get real sound.

I now realised I used 4319 on 8ohm transformer output. I should have tried 4ohm as well since these are 6ohm speakers. But my impressions are the same.

L 100's are sounding better I'm surprised

@@Justas-M Because of the Tektron? Woofers gone? Mira Ceti from Fezz Audio is much better sounding. It has some base.

@@thelastofthedinosaurs Mira Ceti has lost, flooded the room back then. But I think it is because of the Shure microphone I am using. Live in the room there is no lack of bass.

@@Justas-M I think it is because the speaker is large and the room small. If you put these in a large room with distant to the rear wall the base of the mira ceti is probably adequate.

The new production is essentially a higher grade JJ tube. The old Telefunken EL34 was made by RFT. They are still available in NOS form on ebay. Will not be the cheapest option though. My favourite also.

@@Justas-M ok thanks I'm going to try them I'm one of my 50 watt marshalls first because that's just two tubes if they sound as good as the old ones I'll replace all my marshalls I'm not verry happy with the Asian tubes they last ok but sound thin and weak thanks cheers !

Probably depends on the particular release, the ones floating around here are worse than digital...

It's not a mobile phone, rather a sony digital player, but the result, I like it as well! Small simple system :)

I think they are a very good balance of size and sonic features! So far for me the 4343B are better than 4343A and 4344 which I also had at my home.
