I have the exact same as you! Sony ZVe10 plus Rode Podmic. Don’t have a cam link though. And yes, same, always have to sync them up in post.

Hi Steve! Great to hear from you and thanks for following along. Have you tried a template? You can make a template that is 1440 and has studio sound applied and other properties. Then, you can apply it with the click of a button to future projects. Some things cannot be templatized however such as filler words, you'll have to apply that every time. The easiest way to make said template is to find a past project, right click on a scene thumbnail, and select "Save as Template."

Thank you! Since it's not showing up automatically, you'll need to go into your computer's settings and make sure Descript (or your browser if using Web Version) has access to your camera. Let me know if you need more help! It's a different process for Windows and Mac so let me know which you're on and I can add more steps.

@@DescriptMastery Yeah windows at least doesn't have Camera settings for virtual cameras since I guess the virtuals just piggy back off the physicals. Since this message I uninstalled and reinstalled desktop. Remarkably, WEB now shows all my camera options, and Desktop still only shows the physical camera. Frustrating, but at least I can use web to do my screen&camera capture.

Unfortunately, there's not an "apply to all" setting or similar. One thing you could do (IF the size and position of the layers in each scene is identical) is apply the transition to the first scene of your project then click copy layout on the scene thumbnail and click 'paste layout' on each subsequent scene thumbnail. But be careful, this copies all the scene properties which may not be what you want.

No problem! Yea you don't always need it but transitions can be useful for covering up jump cuts between scenes or indicating to the viewer that the topic is shifting.

Haha youre not alone! And depending on the effect youre going for, that could still be useful to do. For example, ducking also quiets sound effects which you may not want

So, I had to play around with this because it's not a native feature. But I made it work, sort of (the timing isn't 100% using this method). Here's what I did: 1: Translated from Spanish to English 2: Exported the Transcript with Timecode ON and set to 5 second intervals 3: Went to the source file > clicked the three dots > Replace > Transcript > pasted in the exported English transcript 4: With my transcript now in English > Added captions Hope this works for you! Yea absolutely! But for that I’d recommend using a Sequence. Then from there, the idea is the same, you’d reposition the two interview boxes wherever you want on the screen.

Yes, Descript got a major overhaul in June. I'm planning a remake of this entire tutorial later this week because another big update is coming on Wednesday.

At the time this video was made, Canva didn't allow export of GIFs with transparent background. But you nailed it, I'm showing it for use with those other prgorams, specifically Descipt. Good question!

Absolutely! It’ll be a little complicated but it’s possible. Descript can only create a caption off of the transcript (which can only be in one language at a time) so you’ll need to translate it from one language into the other. Then, probably in a duplicate composition, flatten the video, upload your translated transcript, then apply the captions in the other language. Haven’t done this specifically and haven’t tested but that’s roughly the steps to do it.

but I did this in a different way. I extract as english video , and I extract turkish only subtitles. and I merge these 2 in filmore. works perfectly fine :)

Unfortunately there’s not an apply all or something like that. One work around (and I’m not positive it’ll work with crossfades but it works with regular fades) is to apply it to a long clip before cutting it up into smaller ones. Then, when you cut it, the smaller clip will have the fade at the end. Repeat with your entire project

Yes absolutely! The feature you're looking for is Captions. You'll need to apply a caption layer to your video then resize the caption in the video to fill the whole screen. Then, customize the captions so it's the right font, size, etc including adding the effect where it'll highlight the read part. If you search through my video library, type in text or captions and you'll find my videos on that subject. Also, happy to hop on a tutoring call if you want help getting everything set up. @@DescriptMastery thank you yes i have dealt with the captions even resized it to fill the whole area but still its not a book like visual and captions whatever the size is, they show a very little of the text like = subtitles. Nothing else. Making its size doesnt guarante is shows alot of text. No. You can even try .)

Hm. Letsbsee, you couldnuse this to detect unpopular releases, general approval, or come to realize something might need to be changed. Lets say youre a RUclipsr with 1000 subscribers. On average you lose maybe 3 subscribers a month. Thats not a problem, you gain 10 a month. Howvever one month, and then another, you realized your subscriber count has stagnated. Are you getting new subscribers? Yeah, is it less than normal, sure, but that doesnt say why i.aint growinf anymore, I should grow but at a slower rate. You can come see how maby have unsubscribed, discovering you have a massive.uptick recently of unsubscribers. You check the comments of yournlast months videos, and nothing seems super negative. So, you check online, to discover another RUclipsr jas started hit pieces on you, thats getting traction. There's signifcant reasons to get this kind of information. But its not a "pretty" number, so-to-speak.

Not sure, sorry. There’s so many that I went back and looked through a few but I’m not sure which one I might’ve mentioned that. But, I’ll explain it: 1) Grab the end of the music layer and expand it to the right until you can’t go any further or stop it where you want the music to end. 2) If you want it to play multiple times, you’ll need to copy the music layer and paste it. 3) Then re-position so it starts and ends where you want.

Yes, it's possible: make your layer into a sequence (if it's not already) then from the sequence editor you can auto-level the entire file.

Thanks for this video. I noticed my audio volume sounds lower while my guest (second speaker) is sounding louder with my video podcast I'm editing right now. I haven't encountered this issue before but I have not recorded anything new until recently. I also was just recording audio only podcasts before.
