Good conditions but not a lot open due to high winds. Still managed to have fun and get some exercise. B slope and lower A slope were also good but my go pro battery froze.

This is upper giant killer and some of the poma woods. The video cuts early in the run, the rest of it is not too exciting. Unfortunately the tree skiing was not the best bet and I ended up on the wrong side of the creek. Sometimes while filming I run into groups of people and that can effect which videos to upload. This one still has enough flow to upload I suppose. For being the "hard trail" ...

It seems like ropes are getting dropped on stuff that would normally be closed in these conditions including the pike which works for me. I like the feeling of plunging off the front of the mountain that this trail gives.

My 94 width skis did not provide me any help in these conditions. The trail was fast and it was hard to know how far to edge a turn. I could have easily blown out a turn and wiped out. There were a lot of frozen ice chunks and especially towards the bottom it was like a jackhammer hitting your feet. I did 4 or 5 runs on this trail this day.

This run was ungroomed, no manmade snow, steep and has those drop offs as you can see in the video. Control is key on trails like this, especially in a mixed snowpack and on something this steep. It was the most challenging trail open this day. Pound that like button and subscribe I guess.

Its day 2 of the season. sorry no go pro battery for first day. The conditions are great for this time of year and double dipper is always a great trail. Note that I'm skipping the upper blue section and starting on great northern to get to the expert level lower section.
