It has the Renault with the Gordini Cross flow head. The engine was rebuilt for performance by Alpine America in Quebec. They supplied custom headers and a tuned exhaust. Weber down drafts and light weight pulleys and flywheel.

Nice upgrade. I owned a 69 S2 model in 1972. Loved it but wife hated it.
My Wife also hates it. She calls it “Ugly Car”.
