Na, yeah. Provision for a full length parallel taxiway. Look left of the apron. The grass area has sufficient room up its centre, between the drainage ditches. Won't need it for several years though, probably around same time as second runway construction. The apron is a bit bigger than it looks. Some drone footage already shows the ground marking lines for aircraft on the apron, which gives a better sense of scale.

You realise the entire airport you see now will be duplicated on the eastern (RH) side with a second runway??? The single runway will be adequate for about 25-30 years.

The fuel tankers will offload to the tank farm you can already see on the western side of the airport. From there it goes through pipelines to the fuel hydrant points under the apron, just like at most major airports. It works that way at other airports like Canberra, Coolangatta and similar. The pipeline will come as aircraft movements increase to justify it, ultimately from the fuel storage facilities at Botany Bay (no refineries in Sydney). Why is it that people happily accept the idea of hundreds of tankers running around Sydney delivering much larger quantities to the numerous road service stations, yet can't imagine a handful of tankers doing the same each day to an airport.

The airport will be expanding when capacity increases to two runways just remember mascot started off with one runway than over time they built more runways and expanded the terminals as well so do you have anything else negative to say 🙄

There's this thing now call the Internet. You can search to discover things like the airport you can now see will be duplicated on its eastern side, with a second runway and added terminals on each side and connecting with each other across the south side. This will give it similar capacity as London Heathrow currently has in the UK.

Western Sydney already has a higher population and is growing faster than all the rest of Sydney. Its people will be much closer to this airport than the current one. The old Sydney Airport will still exist and well-heeled tourists happy to spend thousands to stay in harbourside hotels will continue to use it. Meanwhile the budget operators will market to normal people who realise they can stay in cheaper hotels in the west and easily catch cheap public transport to get into the harbour areas whenever they want. After a while people will also start to realise there is more to "Sydney" than selfies with the bridge and the opera house in the background, and use Western Sydney for its own attractions and heading off to the Blue Mountains, Wollemi, the Central West, the Illawarra, the Southern Highlands, the Hawkesbury, etc.

@@YHK_YT they might decide to go around just before touching the runway. Better safe than sorry, insurance is paying for the engine anyway and it will most likely regardless get stripped down even if you shut it down before landing.

@@filipjovanovski5226 that is true don’t know why but I thought turning it off will help since it’s not digging into the runway forcing you to turn and you wouldn’t risk debris going through the windshield

G'day Tim. As far as I am aware you will require an appropriate EFB. Not sure if you can use with some free app. Here in Oz we have Ozrunways, Avplan and now Foreflight. But Foreflight lags many features in our specific Oz based EFB'S. I have all of them for work. Hope that helps mats?

There is a built in map in its native web GUI. You can technically see traffic there, but the map isn't that great.

G'day mate. Good idea..I re glued the connectors..and also if you lie it flat..doesn't seem to play up as much than if stuck to side of the shield. Here in Oz we use a few EFB's Avplan / Ozrunways and Foreflight..albeit Foreflight need to fix that when running ADSB in..need to use internet as well for weather etc. Hope this helps others..still using and in past 6 months not playing up as much..great little unit. We don't have any corrosion on our units BTW..

No worries Sean, to add to this I do find..from time to time..when it is running for say 6 hours straight..for some reason we keep getting ADSB paints..but all of a sudden the GPS satellites drop out and lose GPS. However, when we reboot..GPS is 20 plus then as soon as detects ADSB paints..bingo GPS satellites all drop off. Very strange..and yes agree with the fan..screams it's head off sometimes too. Craig

Literally everyone, and coming from experience these older commodore doors are heavy and don’t like to stay open when opened slightly, or even all the way, the weight of them will still close themselves. Back in topic, everyone flings their door open especially when their is no other car around, anyone who slowly and casually opens their door is a bit slow
