I should have told the long version of this story in the video, but I didn’t think about it. Short version, I first tried to come here in 2018, but the new Highway wasn’t on Google Maps yet, so I ended up driving aimlessly through the mountains for 5 hours, not realizing the the route Google was taking me on kept changing as I roamed in and out of cell service! I did see some beautiful countrys...

The runway is grass in the summer and the cows take it over. It's only temporary in the winter, so I can't make any real improvements to it.
How long is your runway
1800 feet long, 75 feet wide, 4550 elevation.

This was easily the worst road I drove in the whole country! There is currently a project underway to recover the road, but it will be probably 2 more years until it’s completed. I personally like the current road because it’s preventing commercialization of the site and helping to preserve its integrity.

Have you considered the 3rd door option? I will make getting in and out of the front seat WAY easier. It's an inexpensive upgrade, and would only take a weekend to install.

Nice view from the tail. I have a challenger 2 and installed Back Forty Suspension. It works great. I also agree that they are an easy plane to fly and very forgiving but the gear won't last long on a rough runway. keep the videos coming

I fly a Challenger 2 as well, mine is on amphibious floats, so a landing strip like yours would be out of the question with them on. Have you considered putting on larger tires?
Good display walk around of your plane. I put one inch spacers on my rudder pedals because I'm 5'8 also and I felt like a ballerina with my toes pointed whenever I needed full rudder deflection such as turning around to back track. That didn't solve the problem so I moved my pedals so that they were more upright instead of tilted forward. That solved my problem, so you might want to give that a shot. I enjoyed your video.
Was the dogleg on final to prevent flying over the neighbor's house? Also, have you thought about running a roller over your runway to smooth it out? It must be nice to have all that flat land around you in case of engine trouble. Up here, it's often a case of put it in the trees, or put it in the water.
The dogleg was to stay clear of the trees on the right. We've been trying for years to get the farmer to cut them down, but to no avail. As it is, I've come within 20' of them many times.
What gps unit is that your using for your primary?
It's a Garma Aera 660. I had planned to rebuild the panel and integrate that unit into it better, but the unit died so that project was scrapped.
