Top man, love it 👍👍👍
Thank you Chris, im not sure why im crying but it feels, right....
A voice from the gods...
Fucking briliant - sadly.
I love all his music He is a music weaver…..
What a brilliant song. Lyrics sear straight to the heart.
You can bet Charles Darwin wasn’t joking. Fuck. One of the best lyrics I’ve ever heard in music.
Fishfinger sandwiches with brown sauce...and your good self. One of them is a recent discovery, and most serendipitous it is to!
Well that was a new discovery delight for half an hour!
He’s bloody good.
better than good!
2023 - "none the wiser" unfortunately...
Having just seen you live and knowing little about any music I thought I’d look into your music more and I can’t be more happy I did you are a fantastic musician Chris well done
Please tell me where I can find the tune you were playing when Dancey, appeared on the scene. ♡
Never tire of this song from a wonderful artist, every single track on that album a gem. Delighted to have seen Chris some years ago in Dublin and very much hope he will swing by again in the near future
LOVE THE SONG
I CRIED! I CRIED!
the first time I heard the line 'the thinker stands on the brink of eureka, dizzy with deja vu' my head exploded!
Yes! Same ❤
Fantastic!
His guitar at the start is ghostly good...
Too Amazing!!!
Beautiful, thank you Chris, am late finding this or exactly on time.
Beautiful, you are one in a million. Ps where did you get those overalls and is there a new album due. The unnamed song was wonderful x
It was just like gardener's world at the beginning. 😎💚
Beautiful music and setting.
This is amazing. Thanks Chris.
And may it be so…
Great song
I have discovered your voice and songs through the Folk on Foot podcast. Really beautiful! I’m grateful to both you and the podcast. Best wishes ! ☀️🌿
A real treat to look at and listen to :D
You could say that I myself was none th wiser, when I previously heard this song, and it didn't do anything for me! But as does happen, I must be in a different mood, and realise how refreshingly different such ideas there in the lyrics of the song! Second time lucky, then! Keep up the good work, Chris Wood.
Hi Chris, what a lovely collection of performances. Would you be willing to do a tutorial on your version of The Poacher? Thank you!
David would be proud of you, met you at his birthday do down in Exeter many years ago, I always think of him while working in the garden, then start humming your Asparagus Song........life goes 'round' in circles.......
Having not heard of this man until I heard him sing ( hollow point) I was crying at the whole tragedy. A Poet.
Beautiful this. Love that Chris was trying not to do any music and look what comes through and out to all of us... what a subtle and mesmerising gift for Britain in lockdown
Awesome man wish I found this during lockdown last year. Thanks for sharing
Just enough height to .... love it
Wow. That's good stuff.
The new song at the end is sublime. Time for a new album.
Good to here your healthy and looking after the garden as I still do in penzance cornwall, a place you once visited with Andy cutting and played at our house, Terry and Annie
No matter what you sing along with this is. It's always in key.
Really random comment I know! Can anyone! Pleaseee! Help me find a chord version for Hare on the Mountain! I watched a video of Chris and Andy play it years ago and I’ve never found a chord version!!
I love that gallows humour. That song from the asylum is transcendent. A line from Chris is hooked in my head : "It came across the atlantic like second hand smoke. We were the punch line , we were the joke"
1030 on a Saturday night listening to ravenscroft and his guest Mr Wood. You have a new fan and you know what. Your music sits well with me both in the message and how I am learning guitar in lockdown 2.
You are amazing
Makes me almost proud to be English- throw in the NHS and you've got yourself a deal.
One question - do you almost exclusively play in CGCGCD-tuning
Loved this Chris, thank you. Great new song. Your garage studio sounds just perfect as it is.
Thank you for this chris
The seeds of love was the first folk song I learned. I used to sing it in Tokyo for my students, and for me. So far away, but I had that little bit of England with me. My voice isn't half as good as Chris', but I sang it with as much love I hope.
Ah, a man who appreciates the humble simplicity of the digestive biscuit - I knew I liked Chris Wood!!
