@@fragdad the gold plate gets in the way. Tungsten or SS would be too expensive. I think perhaps normal steel. No 100% sure ?

I find that hard to believe and if so why wouldn’t you go to their premises or report them to trading standards

@@jonodunn2592 I found it hard to believe too, that such a reputable company would dismiss my complaint. They're based in Birmingham and I can't go there as I'm an elderly person with difficulty walking. I didn't know I could go to trading standards as I don't have any proof that they sold me the defective coin. I purchased 12 1oz Britannias in total and the other 11 were fine.

Never had any problem with them ... best dealer around in my book

@@jonodunn2592 My previous comment was deleted, not sure why. I explained that I cannot go to their premises as they're in Birmingham and I'm elderly. I, too, find it hard to believe they'd send out a defective coin, but I guess I was unlucky.

@@jeanlawley6483 I bought 12 1oz coins and 11 were fine. I'm reluctant to order from them again. I use Chards which have better prices.

Yes i agree thats all is my now but i prefer to own a virgin coin that no one touch it or drop it on floor or things like that . When last year i change all my silver for gold they watch every silver coin and buy it for good price and no question !

@@seminumismaticguy8575 I’m only a stacker. I buy the cheapest sovereign’s. I’m only buying the 1 oz gold as a tradition from when I started in 2023. I hate premiums that’s why I only buy secondhand silver to avoid VAT

😮Oh yeah definitely gold is underrated but you wanna know what is really SILVER!!!!!! I believe that silver will be at a $100 an ounce in the next 3 to 4 years II just started my I won't say coin collection is more of a retirement I'm only buying PF70 coins I have a couple to have couple of gold eagle sets and then the rest of my collection is mostly silver PF70 ed moy collection and IThink everything is just gonna it's gonna go skyrocket and because silver is a better conductor than gold it has a lot better qualities than computer parts and etc need and they brought the buy something for $30 and ounce rather than something that cost $2700 an ounce so I believe that silver's gonna be a very sad afterthing but you have to buy investment grade coins so they can grow you know I'm hoping that I'm doing the right thing I just put all my money into this and I'm on disability cause I have spinal issues soon letting's It roll and I know that I'm not gonna get a fast return it's gonna take 20 to 25 years to get Them to really mature and growing value and be more sought after because they only make 1 year and if you aint buying no matter what time you missed the opportunity you have to go through other thingsGet all my stuff through the United States gold bureau Texas they are the best they have everything in the best part of autumn is they will buy your golden silver platinum or palladyum back off you in 2025 years whatever it takes for them to mature and you don't have to worry about find in a buyer in the awesome store your precious metals Yes it's like Fort Knox in Texas literally check them Out they have a really goodbye back program program and the other thing is that you can't lose money with them because if you buy ACI buy an ounce of gold right now it's 2700 saying 3 is it drops down to 1500 I appreciate that United States gold bureau will give you back whatever you paid for that at that time and you will basically not take a loss and It's amazing so check him out and ask for Bruce Marshall Jones

@@ashb8572 hello, it all depends on premiums quarter Brits sound good. I only bought the half’s as they were cheap. Sovereigns have low premiums and easy to sell when the time comes.

@@daviniarobbins9298 before I started stacking I assumed Platinum was above Gold but atm looks a good buy at a third of the price. No not a member of the stackers did think about it but don’t want to get in to deep as my first love is flying drones. I started with silver but I was running out of space lol.

@@smoggydrones5664 That's fair enough. I like platinum, it's cheaper at the moment than gold. I can buy 2 tenths for about the same price as 1 tenth gold. My plan is buy platinum tenths and then sell them on eBay when gold dips. They keep their premium so I should be able to sell them for what I paid for them and maybes a bit more.

@@JJJKKOKJAY I would agree that’s why I stick to Atkinsons for my sovereigns. They are not any cheaper on eBay and a high risk of fakes

@@smoggydrones5664 I know Atkinsons. So there used to be an Indian gold shop in my town selling Indian jewelry to the Asians in the community. I went in there asking for bars as they had some and the old couple that ran it said they had some coins too if I was interested and I could have them at spot price. I thought why not and he bought out 17 sovereigns including young head shields and rare dates that would command high premiums saying the locals had sold them to them over the years for spot and they wanted them gone as their customers wanted bars and jewelry. I happily snapped them all up and we were both happy. In the summer when spot hit record highs I cashed out buy consigning them all to Atkinsons and made a small fortune on my initial purchase ha But sadly some scumbags from the eu robbed that shop then covid hit and they never opened up. It’s been boarded up since but they had some great deals in there. Anyways some of your sovs might have once been mine ha cheers mate
