I absolutely loved the contrast of the happy moments of Penelope with Ody and the despair of Antinous holding her hurt all over.

The only thing missing was the lore accurate bow, otherwise, this animatic is perhaps my preferred one out there! It doesn't shy away from the cruelty Antinous had planned for Ody's family, both in Telemachus' murder and Penelope's assault. I love how we see Ody lose his patience and shoot Antinous while being recognized by his scar like in the story. The set up showing Ody place the axes between him and Antinous before taking the shot. Seeing that Antinous actually stabbed Telemachus in the family portrait, severing his head in the painting to allude the crime he was planning. Just -chef's kiss-

This is so good. Love all the lore correct details. Ody looks awesome. His pissed look gives Ares vibes and forbodes of what is to come. My favorite detail is Penelope grabbing that dagger. Shes not going down without a fight. Will you animate more songs?

It's no exaggeration to say your animatic is a MASTERPIECE. My favourite moments: Telemachust at 0:46 looks so intimidating, I got chills seeing his expression! Odysseus's tenderness at the thought of seeing Telemachus soon vs his absolute anger at what the suitors plan to do is just an amazing contrast! Penelope going down fighting despite everything is a testament to her character. From 2:38- 2:40 really makes Odysseus seem like the hunter patiently stalking his prey. Thanks for making this!

Hell yes, this has all that I've been looking for in a Hold Them Down animatic, others I've watched aren't bad, but you really go full in with the gore for the planned murder of Telemachus and rape of Penelope, with her fighting back as a Spartan would, not to mention the flashes of memories with Ody and Telemachus's birth, beautiful. And the set up for the arrow to the throat at the end? Nice, such great visuals! In my eyes, you have blessed us with the best animatic for this song.

I love how from the moment Ody hears Telemachus's return being mentioned, he stops short, starting off almost in awe that he'll be seeing his baby boy, and probably soon. But then his eyes light up red with parental, protective *rage* while Antinuous schemes about murdering his son and destroying his body, gripping his already-strung bow like he genuinely isn't sure if he should keep waiting for the right moment and listen or shoot him down right that second before he has to hear more. Then he starts slipping into full beast mode just from the talk of breaking into Penelope's room because he KNOWS where this is going. The way the images of Ody's past with her show up feels like *he's* the one also visualizing the suitors assaulting her while Antinuous talks about it. And you know it leaves him sickened, horrified and ABSOLUTELY FUCKING FURIOUS.

1:15 I absolutely LOVE the way Ody stops and reacts to hearing his son is coming back, and him realizing he'll finally get to see his baby boy, and then his anger growing at hearing what they plan to do to his wife and boy. Chef's kiss

Thank you for this horrific display of pure talent and dedication to the craft. Just wow. The detail of showing Penelope as a human, mother and loved one in just two extra frames switching between ody and ant point of view of her just made the unimaginable so much terribly real.

2:32 noticed this on the rewatch - Odysseus strings the bow - Takes an arrow from the suitors quiver - Suitor is confused - Suitors looks down to see Odessus’s scar from when he fought the boar - Realizes “The King is back and we’re screwed” I adore the attention to detail, especially the parts that are mythologically accurate

I like that you leaned a lot more into Ody's reaction to the song, it definitely makes the ending all the more satisfying to see his (VERY deserved) rage come to fruition And the added touch of Antinous sitting on the throne right before is a beautiful touch, seeing how prideful and sure he is of his victory only to be immediately torn down by the REAL king of Ithaca

This is amazing! So many details! I really like how you made Ody reactions, the details with Telemacus and Penelopy's distress reaaly made me cry a little. The way you showed the difference between how Ody treated her and suitors just ❤ incredible work

I'm sure the suitor who had his arrows removed ran away when he saw Odysseus' scar, saying, "Damn, they're going to kill us all. The king heard everything the leader said, better I'm going to hell."

The change between the way Odysseus vs the suitors treat Penelope is such a good detail

Omg the part where Antinous explains his plan of what he's going to do to Penelope, I always imagine Odysseus looking horrified for a few seconds and then immediately pissed off as he continues with his plan...this is basically how I imagined would happen when he realizes what their plan was...and I also love how Odysseus reacts when they talk about how they planned to murder Telemachus. He had a look of "oh...oh SHIT!" so yea this was amazing!

imma just say, that was the most graphic "while i slit his throat" ive seen across various animatics... effin love it

TELEMACHUS MY BABY BOY NOOO!!! I didn't expect you to go that hard, most artists just imply the violence against Penelope and Telemachus. This was chilling but in an awesome way. It made me hate Antinous even more and long to see him die so much sooner! 🩸🔪 And how one of the suitors notices Odysseus's scar on his leg was "chef's kiss"👌 Terrific and terrifying job!

Odysseyus shoot antinuous through the axes completing the challenge 🙌 I really like this version of antinuous too he's more cruel and watching odysseyus slowly losing it was a perfect build up.

U can Ody less and less as the animatic went on, and by the end, only the beast remained

this literally gave me like a great sense of doom, seeing her in such distress, REACHING FOR HER RING and just, oh my god this is probably the most bone chilling animatics i've come across. This truly shows how horrific and graphic this song is.

This is insanely detailed!!! how graphic telemachus's part is actually shocked me and with Antinous at part 2:02, then Odysseus's POV when Antinous is talking about Penelope, the way the memories flash and then cuts to the visual of his wife SA'd and also Penelope's weddings ring off her. This is honestly my favorite animatic, it just hits so different than all the other. New sub with all notifs on!
