Just hearing Mr. Fafara voice only he does not at all sound like an older man. He must be in great health.

He hasn't aged my goodness .I saw him as a producer writer for the then young Olsen twins show .

Like Larry Mondello and Gilbert,Richard got Beaver in trouble alot,he got caught breaking windows and told the cop his name was Theodore Cleaver,then him along with Beaver,Whitey and Alan bought sweatshirts with monster faces on them and agreed they would all wear them to school but Beaver was the only one who did and got sent to Mrs Rayburns office,I grew up watching Leave it to beaver and still like it.

@35:05...Rusty Stevens (aka Larry Mondello) possibly felt used and abused as a child actor in those days. Like Ron Howard, he could have developed a selective memory and chose to forget what could have caused him to develop a low self-esteem. Rusty's sudden departure from the series probably affected him as well, since he had no choice in the matter.

I am watching an episode of Leave It to Beaver right now. I have come to convlusion that Wally is the most American character I have ever seen on t.v. All the "and junk"s and leaving off the g, as in "readin' ", etc. is so American. Tony Dow played Wally perfectly, and he was so likeable and cute.

I got to talk to Jim Siedow on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a few years before he died..He was sensible and nothing like his character...

Yes that was Stanley Fafara on Dennis the Menace (1960 episode "Dennis by Proxy"). The two shows were on at the same time and even ended the same year (1963)

I'm so happy for Ken to have some solid kids. As a former policeman and his acting career, both having their ups and downs. He remained a good man and sensitive to others and their situations. A solid foundation for his family. He did his best and that is admirable. He's is always there for his fans to enjoy. His death is a big loss to people my age as is the passing of Tony Dow. I actually kinda wondered if the world would stop spinning....but it didn't

Burt Mustin was one of the wise guy, busy body, old men on the Andy Griffith Show who gave Barney grief every time he would make a mistake. Like the time they got him to put a ticket on the Governor's car (driven by Opie's real father Rance Howard)

Loved the interview. So heartbreaking to see a picture of Stanley when he was young and realize what happened to him later in life. Glad to see Tiger still going strong.

My husband & I are in our mid 60's, so I was a little too young to enjoy LITB. We now watch 2-3 episodes in the evening. These shows are so much better than what is produced now. Wonderful interview!!!

Excuse my skepticism but how do we know that the voice actually belongs to Jeri Weil ?

Although challenging at times, I really appreciate the effort shown in this interview and thanks for posting. Jeri Weil played a part in many of our lives through the Judy Hensler character and it’s a pleasure to hear from her under any circumstances.

I think "Larry's" mother was very "stage mother" and the reason he stopped being on the show. Maybe that's why his memory is gone because he didn't want to remember, poor guy.
