THIS! Great delivery of information and truth we All can benefit from~ Tnx! Subscribed✌️
This is one of the best quotations by the greatest philosopher that ever walked the face of the earth , and this video beautifully explains what he meant by saying it. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Strange Musings, who is your favorite philosopher?
That's a tough one! I enjoy Nietzsche because he takes a unique view that makes me think. Who is your fav and why?
I agree with Nietzche. I enjoyed Thus Spoke Zarathustra.
DIOGENES
@@YELLTELL Great one! I will look at doing some videos on his quotes
rousseaus idea was also reinterpreted by robesssipiere during reign of terror because rouseau didnt focus on what the collective freedoms are. so what is liberty itself >
what do you mean by we ? rousseau himself said community living is good. so would they not drive our live or influence in some way
doesnt this apply to good habits which compels us too>
this guy has a school named after him back in my home town never knew he was so smart thank you for sharing your wisdom with us <3
Rousseau made some very good points to ponder. People need to get off social media and TV "programming." Simplify lifestyle. True freedom would mean to go off grid. Obviously difficult to do for most. Unfortunately in America, we're born into debt slavery. Thanks to the tyrannical Federal Reserve Act and the 16th Amendment- (income Tax Act) inb1913.
Not very free I'm a slave to the government and paying for the freebies given to undocumented as they get free food, housing and health care.
In my opinion time was only created to keep things together, so humans would have a easier time keeping track of history and upcoming events that we have yet to experience. Time might not even exist, we might just be searching to deeply for the meaning of time, it is more simple then we might think
nice
Eichmann was not normal. He was a passionate, committed and creative Nazi. Was Arendt taken in by his pathetic, little bureaucrat defense? Maybe. But I suggest to you anther possibility. Arendt was a passionate intellectual and naturally wanted such a vocation to be seen as good and pure, so she let him off. Compare Thomas Mann 'Brother Hitler', Mann admits the painful fact that Hitler is like him, a passionate, creative intellectual - but evil. Intellect and learning are no defense to being evil, indeed the uneducated who feel simple pity may be better placed to avoid it.
No, it will eventually lead to fascism.
How?
Me when I'm delusional
@@myself2noone first off, fascism and totalitarianism are not the same thing. Sec, There will be no power vacuums in anarchy. Power is decentralized and there is no power structure that saps power away from the general population. Anarchy is literally self-governance and there's no need for a government to form in anarchy.
This would be good if everybody had good intentions. But we live in a world where people will take that freedom and turn it into something bad.
We are a social species. we have evolved empathy. What makes you think that we'd just turn on each other.
It’s true that some people would need to learn how to be free. That is, to not be a dick to put it simply. Even though it is not guaranteed, by eliminating the need of competing, the likelihood of most folks being empathic and treating their peers as they would like to be treated themselves under similar circumstances would increase. Also, it is socially unacceptable when the behavior of one affects the rest negatively and corrections and reparations would happen faster and with less obstacles. It’s a bumpy road, but worth navigating
The hidden joy of Sisyphus is that he is responsible for his and only his boulder. He has nothing to do with your boulder or any other boulders.
I am an anarchist and I think this form is the solution to mankind’s problems.
So a question then. If I choose to exercise my freedom in a way that infringes upon your pursuit of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness how will I be restrained from harming you?
@@classixdrummer Through Cooperation. Anarchists (at least social anarchists) have a theory of freedom that States that liberty and equality are inseparable. If you want to be free, everyone has to be free. thus the quote "My freedom is your freedom (and vise versa)." if someone is harming others, then others have the ability to defend themselves.
Im loving your channel. Keep going.
Thank you!
I really love and appreciate your channel. There should be way more views and comments. I love the approach of keeping it to the basics while elaborating enough to get one started and continued on their path as we happily push our own boulders our own unique ways. Thank you keep up the good work.
Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying the videos 🙂

The world would look vastly different if this advice was followed.
I think, therefore I am! ~~~ Thought = Ego (= Duality). No thought = no (concept of an) individuated duality living mortal self.
Its your experience then inverted indoctrinated into an assemblage also called schizophrenia.. its a intentional phenomology.
Good observations, but helpful? Practical? Probably not, as with most philosophical musings unfortunately
It's your experience inverted then indoctrinated into children
What a Kant
I like your channel
Thank you!
@StrangeMusings this RUclips thing is not easy. Just passed a year on my own channel. Keep grinding.

Wow; what a good video!

Surprises that such line of though becomes a movement... Explaining my point: we, humans living in a society, should not depend on a movement like this to "align" us.
Thank you all speaking up for the Amhara people, the creators of Ethiopia, beacon of freedom, the light house of freedom. Even the name America seems derivative of Amharic(a), the language of Amhara (meaning the splendid, the gracious... look it up in thesaurus). Please speak up for the Amharan cause. They are currently under threat of extinction & massacred by a fascist, barbarian government. They have right to life (& justice). Thank you again.
You can’t be serious with this pronunciation
Probably using a female AI text to speech thing
If you need a "philosophy" to do rught, then you weren't raised right! Blame your folks! End of story!🫶🏻👍🏻✌🏻👋🏻😌
If you were raised right it's because of the very fact that you were raised by the code of a moral philosophy, or more likely a blend of them, regardless of how formal or informal. Kant, along with other great philosophers, have offered humanity paths of logic akin to mathematical proofs that show that certain ways of viewing particular aspects of life are irrefutably superior to other views or beliefs. Those that would seek out the most reasoned ways to best live one's life or institute a body of laws to govern a people are offered these works instead of being forced to do the intellectual heavy lifting themselves.
Idiotic way of thinking. No wonder you spam emojis
More than meaningful. Love every word.
I love all of your videos they all speaks to me meaningfully.
Very great info we all need and yet so little views . I wonder why .
When I was in Germany, 50 years ago. Walking down the street and making eye contact with a older German, they would say God is good. I respond Christ is good. To this day I acknowledge life in the eyes of a stranger passing by. Kantianism. My version
Nice.
Love this.
I love these info.
Foundational.... With. the Ancient Mayan culture they had a greeting for each other: In Lak' ech ~ Ah La Kin. Translated this means "I am another you ~ You are another me." Hence; when this understanding is fully embodied, Kant's orientation is common sense....
I have an idea. Why don't we all Rebell against capitalism and bring about the democratic rule of the working class, where all economic resources of the society are democratically and collectively owned and distributed in an equitable manner, so that everybody can have easy access to a job, food, water, shelter, transportation, medicine, and entertainment?
What is the fundamental idea behind Existentialism?
Insightful stuff on Nietzsche's ideas.
But the other person is always wrong! Just my measure of him…
Very nice, strange. i studied jung's psychology for 30+ years. i include him often in my writing. all the best, with peace, respect, love and exuberant joy.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed
Watch the earth below your feet. Do you see it moving at about 32 miles per second? NO! While looking outside the window of a speeding train, you watch the trees close to the train speeding fast, away from you, when all those trees are actually rooted to the ground! Is there not an element of illusion in movements that we observe? Is it not true that nothing is absolutely still, and nothing is absolutely moving? Coming to the concept of TIME , the “unit time” i e “Day” was arrived at by basing it on the movement of stars, earth taking one full turn around its axis. Hence the primary basis of time or the clock being movement, chronological time too could very well be illusion. So, Parmenides could possibly be right! And Zeno obviously supported his views. Yet, we all know, there is lot to learn from Heraclitus as well! What says You?
thank you so much for making this!!! <3
