Elvis's mother Gladys Presley's death hit Elvis hard. Grieving for his beloved mama and missing her deeply. But having to go on living without his mama was difficult for Elvis because he had to think about being there for his daddy Vernon who was also grieving over Gladys's death and raising Elvis without her. But Vernon did. Vernon never stopped loving Elvis and he never stopped supporting his son and being there for him whenever Elvis needed his daddy. Vernon would always be there for him no matter what even Elvis had those sad moments where he thought about Gladys and how much he missed her and wished she was there for him he'd ring up Vernon and Vernon would go to Elvis because Elvis always counted on his father his daddy who he loved so much. Vernon toured with Elvis. And after every show in Vegas Elvis would happily proudly invite his father on the stage with him and introduce him to the audience telling his audience he's his daddy. I would like to ask my Daddy Vernon Presley to come out and join. My Daddy Vernon Presley everyone.

This is based on Elvis after his 68 comeback and had just signed to play the enormous showroom at the international hotel in Las Vegas in July/Aug 1969 so Elvis had to fill the big stage with extra singers and musicians and he auditioned guitarists drummers all whilst progressing his music into a new style a new era The vegas years gets a lot of flack because people think it’s his declining years in flashy jumpsuits But those 1969-70 early vegas gigs were some of his most raw energetic live performances of his career don’t get fooled by the misconceptions Elvis brought rock and roll to vegas - from the older crooner orientated music and cabaret of the likes of the rat pack, Wayne newton, Tom jones, Engelbert Humperdinck Elvis wasn’t into that style so he formed a new band and a new big sound and brought audiences into the first Rock gigs that people of all ages flew in to see him and turned the “Vegas residency” into a cool hip place that this today There’s a lot of pioneering firsts when it comes to Elvis Presley and the haters try to bring him down and judging him by his non songwriting and because he wasn’t a virtuoso on an instrument Elvis could sing He could play the guitar and piano Every song he recorded he produced and adapted himself He added his own percussion by slapping the back of his guitar He created rockabilly -the new genre that was soon to be called rock and roll by mixing both his black and white influences and he changed the world And not one songwriter or guitar genius could match the charisma voice talent and genius of Elvis presley What he lacks in some things he makes up in others The crown sits rightly upon his head and nobody is gonna ever take that away Well done Austin for bringing an insight to how Elvis Presley rehearsed for his gigs

Reminds me of the time i shared my dreams with a girl i liked but not intimate until she gave me that same look. Though it didn't end with a kiss but still what a moment to have with someone that believes in you and gives you hope for your futures. 😢
