I do love Ensley Reign palettes. What a shame. I hadn’t noticed the $88.88 and maybe they don’t know what it means either. But the 88 refers to the 8th letter in the alphabet - H. HH is a way of white supremacists saying, “Heil Hitler,” which is offensive to so many. Why some of their palettes are $88.88 is curious at best and horrifying at worst. Anyway, I love the idea of going through which palettes came into your collection this year. Very eye opening. Thank you.

It really just irks me when brands act up and yall creators have to keep addressing their questionable behaviour. I also know that we are all out here buying stuff from many brands doing heinous sh$t all day long. Sigh, I do know though that in the small business space we get more power on who we can say no to and also brand owners in the small business space are so much more visible - especially due to social media. Once that ND xenon palette went once it went half off I had to grab it to complete the collection but then I used it and then I wanted to keep picking it up. I was surprised I liked it that much.

Great round up video! I definitely agree with you about the situation with ER. We can't spread hate and blast people for their choices and expect change. That breeds more hate. There were some amazing indie releases this year! My favorite brands like Unearthly killed it this past year!

Happy Holidays Ashleigh. I enjoy seeing these videos at the end of the year about faves and rankings. Thanks you for addressing the ER situation. I grow weary when these things happen because you are right we do have to do our own research about these situations so we understand for ourselves what went down and make decisions based on our own conscience. That being said so bocce to her about your grandfather - fascinating history. My top palettes of the year definitely included some of these. The palette that still surprises me is Blend Bunny Longing. Had no idea I would live in his palette so much. Indie palettes were definitely killing it this year. I’m a single shadow fiend but the palettes had me by the heart this year

I didn't know anything about it until you informed me. We have such a cancel culture right now and for good reasons. However, it does not take away from my love for the product. I just can't support a company that spreads hate. So we must teach companies with our dollars because money is all they understand. They make personal comments, we teach them professional lessons of money. I will research more myself to get the real full story but I could tell it distressed you.

I’m never buying from ER because of the high prices and the AI, it really isn’t that expensive to commission an artist. But why make anyone work when you can use AI that literally steals and mixes art styles from different actual artists. Little reminder here, AI art wouldn’t exist if that kind of art hadn’t been created before.
