He's just like mailketh phase1&2 for me where he's mind numbingly frustrating at first, but awesome to fight once you get the flow of it. Even on more powerful stat spreads like str/arc & dex/arc he isnt a glass cannon like maliketh either. Should have a unique theme tho, that's ass. Idk how well itll age but id say he's the best mounted enemy theyve done so far, or putrescent knight 😂

Psst mate, I hear summoning the omenkiller rolo +10 to stay as a meatbag in one place and ass-blasting Gaius with ADLS does wonders.

I love how most of the bosses like Radahn, Malenia and Giaus are considered hard Because of that one move that is actual bullshit

I havent tried it but I think the proper intended way is to use Smirthscript weapons while on Torrent, fr if you do horse combat with the daggers it’s amazing.

For the charge, dodge diagonally in a broad angle (mainly right/left with a touch of forwards) To create attack opportunities, bait his ai to make the boar kick up his back feet by dodging towards his sides and then his ass, do one attack, roll the kick and do 2 more. When he summons the orb, sprint away, no questions asked. Hope this helps, best of luck.

This boss is what made me quit this game altogether. It was the last straw after a mound of garbage. I’m gonna beat him then I’m uninstalling this game cause it’s just not fun anymore

my bois and gals, that charge hitbox is trash, just use Deflect Hardtear and time a sekiro block against the charge attack, you will take stamina damage but no hp loss. Easiest, cheapest and most reliable counter I've found.

for anyone finding this video later on... my tips -use bloodhound step or raptor of the mists for the charge and the hovering charge in phase two if ur struggling with it (it hits hard!) -everything else is pretty dodgeable with medium roll, its just what direction you have to dodge, when he does the big combo dodge forward-right until he does the boar head scrape (second to last attack) dodge that forward left and then one more roll for the sword-spear slam, and if you are positioned close to him the last attack will whiff, the last roll isnt needed and you get a longer punish -never dodge backwards (this goes for the whole dlc) -and always assume the boar will kick if you are behind him (ive seen many hosts ive been summoned for get hit by it repeatedly) if the boar kicks you get a hit so just wait for it anyways good luck to anyone still on gaius

one simple advice. you're wasting a lot of windows because you're going for charged heavies. just swing once and dodge between his combos. dont get too greedy with the swings, you'll have to figure out the timing of it. will cut the fight time but a lot.

beat this guy first try with giants hunt and a greatsword

every attack he has feels like it was designed to mess with you or at least land once. either roll catching, off beat timing, hit boxes, his reach

If someone is struggling with this bastard I would recommend parry, it is so much easier if you got the timing right

FYI, for those who don’t know, you can summon Torrent, but even that is useless because his isn’t long enough to avoid the charge attack. Neither does jumping. Also, the charge is faster than Torrent. So yeah, he’s useless in the fight.

just killed him, heres a few tips: 1- he's weak to holy damage in his first phase 2- dont summon the npc allies, his health increases when you do and they're not all that effective 3- if miquella grabs you in the second phase you can use miquella's great rune to negate the effects, so if you get grabbed again you dont turn into a tier 3 sub 4-the best way to dodge the light rays in his second phase that follow his attacks is to dodge into him or possibly behind him,good for setting up a heavy aow or spell hit once he ends his combo hope it helps, i went through all stages of grief for this information

editing tip advice, don't make a fade in take more than 2-3 seconds at a start of a video, it feels weird
