I’ve found stores in my country that sell spares. I’d say google Chiappa Rhino .177 /4.5mm moon clips and similarly for shells.

They do in both the 50 and 60 DS versions. I don’t see any limited editions being sold after a brief look but it’s not needed.

@@Leehamful They do even in 30 and 40DS versions as well. But these limited editions are needed only for their factory Chiappa boxes. Nothing more.

The trigger right out of a box is brutal. But if you drop little bit of silicone oil into the hammer mechanism and trigger mechanism it will be lot easier. But you can also buy competetion style springs for it which will make the trigger pull easier.

Yeah the sound will just be air gun noises. Agree it is a nice pistol.

I got this a long time ago. I’ve not seen it new. I would keep your eye on used air guns.

Im not sure where you live but if you're willing to take the risk on importing it, Octagon Airsoft is selling preorders for them.

I guess that’s why they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I’d never choose the Vigilante or Brodax over Rhino as I prefer the metal look of the Rhino over plastic from other two and just generally prefer the style of the Rhino revolver. Have you seen the SRC Titan? Different to the ones we’ve mentioned.

Hi James! I too have seen the 60DS but so far have been able to resist. It’d be great to hear from you again once it arrives and to hear if you have a favourite out of the 50 and 60. Don’t forget though you altered the 50 out of the box so you’ll want to take that into consideration in your comparison.

It arrived today. Small disappointment. It was not the Limited Edition. No case etc. It has the DA pull about the same as the 50DS after oiling the 50DS, so it's nice enough. Pulling back the hammer is slightly harder than the 50 but that may just need oiling. Can't say which I like more. This has an extra rail, all nickel version, brown grip. I wish the dealer had not made this mistake I've just written him an email. They used to be a very reliable air gun dealer here in Canada but it has been sold to other people. A few months ago I bought a Tau Brno Junior target rifle from them. No packing in the box, wooden stock broke completely in half. Reglued it. I am done with this dealer. Cheers from Canada.

It’s a great piece to have is the 50DS but have wondered if I would prefer a 60DS. If you get the 50DS you’ll have to let me know which is your favourite. Interested to know why you’d say DA is nice vs SA as I would have thought SA would be the nicer trigger pull given the hammer will already be cocked and the only function is to then fire the weapon while DA you have to move all those pieces to cock the weapon before then firing.

In the case of the CO2 Rhino it isn’t just a simple sear releasing the hammer or striker really in this case. It’s got 6 parts to move to release in SA .. a normal revolver as 2/3 including the trigger. That’s why in the case of the CO2 pistols it’s better in DA mode. The real steel pistol is has a good SA but poorer DA feel I have read. 60DS is pretty accurate for a CO2 revolver in my opinion.. and with my tiny C-More RTS2 reflex sight … that costs twice the price of the pistol … it’s great fun!!

I do. I prefer the weight and look of the chiappa but the mateba is the better gun to shoot with given the softer trigger. Have you got a preference?

I was hoping different barrels would come to market as you can unscrew this part of the replica and remove it. Sadly not seen anything. I am aware a rhino 20ds (I think) replica was made quite some time ago so that may be as close as you can get for now. However, the replica quality of that 20ds isn’t as on par as this new replica of the 50ds. It’s more expensive too.

@@Leehamful I bought it recently 2 months ago it shoots perfectly the way I want it a lot of people say theirs don’t shoot properly they say it shoot to the left or to low but mines shoot exactly where I want the bb to go i must’ve really got lucky so whoever built mines or assembled mine did a good job maybe people should try ordering their air guns from pyramid like I do

Like all reviews I will be subjective even when I’m trying to be objective. The reason I chose 5 was because even though it was a very windy day for shooting, it still did reasonably well for a handgun and so I factored that into the review. If it fired like that on a calm day I would have put it to a 4. It would be less if it missed the target and/or was misfiring.

@@Leehamful Sorry, for sure you can shoot better. Sometimes, targets are to far for handguns, i like better fast combat shooting at 6 yards.

How you finding it?

If you look at the video at 4:45, you will see the shells are already in the chamber here and you can then simply push the BB/pellet into each one.

That’s great on the improved groupings - good job. Similarly, I attached a laser to the under rail for the distances I usually fire at to see how it would do and it worked better for sure. There are definitely better glocks for training but not many that look and feel as good as this.

I did play with the hop-up but it wasn’t enough. I didn’t try minimising movement of the barrel, something I can look at when I next get this out.

It seems a bit lottery like. Mine has become slightly easier pull over time for some it is really smooth.

the gun looks better (eye of the beholder I guess) and has better sights. It’s not just aesthetics, Special edition also comes with the clamshell carry case - standard does not. So if you want those things, it’s arguably a better buy.

It’s a shame I couldn’t get hold of a full auto as the fire rate is rather fun. How are you finding the accuracy of the full auto?

Thanks, I’m glad you liked the video. At 5:04 you can see the trigger take up, break and reset. I can tell you it’s a nice trigger to pull and doesn’t interfere with aiming.

Great to hear James and that made me chuckle. I should really get round to lubricating or tweaking trigger myself before I next use it.

The trigger is certainly hard to pull and not great in either single or double action. I personally am still able to pull the trigger with more ease than yourself which is why I was still happy to recommend. However, I may have been lucky with my trigger pull as I have heard others having a much harder time with it - like yourself.

This is definitely an air gun worth maintaining
