The advancement in technology through the Evolution of DIYing with Bob The Builder. Home improvements, fixes, repairs and woodworking for the homeowner.
I started this venture when I was around 5 years old watching my Dad doing DIY activities around the house. I learned by using his tools, especially his DeWALT radial arm saw (which I still have in my possession) to repair, modify and create new things around the house as a homeowner. While working for a living as a professional engineer for over 40 years, I now have the time to thinker around my home and with RUclips share some of my handy work. I hope to inspire your imagination and give you some ideas you can put into action.

Cutting Stool Legs to Counter Height
Просмотров 10311 месяцев назад
The difficulty with cutting down stool or chair legs is to cut them even so as not to rock on a flat floor surface. A trick to cutting each leg the same amount is doing it using a jig. I made my jig using simple 2x4 lumber and some Harbor Freight clamps.

Very helpful!! Thank you!
Genius
I have been stressing how to make one all year as I had a vision when I sold my previous platform of the village tree but knew I wanted it spinning like my tree. Will be watching all these and using as my guide ! Thanks for the upload. 🎉
I had the same issue with my drill. I managed to get the chuck screw out but the chuck itself was impossible to remove! I decided to just buy a new drill but decided to take the Dewalt apart and use the motor for a halloween prop or other weird creative project. ;) I tried banging this thing with hammers and cramming large screwdrivers inside the chuck but she just wasn't into it ;) I guess she just doesn't love me anymore;) Sorry if I offended anyone with this language but it was a bitch of a problem. ;)
Only took me 4 years to finally get around to it……. Thanks a million
Thanks for the idea. Blessings to all ❤
Awesome job. Thanks for posting this.
great idea. What do you think about a 2 fan setup? A regular inlet (bottom) and extractor (top). Would it work to suck hot air out?
For the money you spent on all that stuff you could have bought a few oscillating adjustable fans. 5:01
It's not always about the money.
Hi Mr. Wadlington, This is a GREAT idea but I wish you gave measurements/dimensions and a parts list with sizes. for those of us that need that :)
Same problem.....I'll try this fix this weekend. Thanks!
That looks like me at the moment trying to break mine loose. I have beat the living hell out of this drill with it clamped down, standing on it, you name it and I still cannot get this thing loose. I'm almost to the point where I'm about to just cut it open
Yo,Bob! Yer awsome! No BS! Right to the point! I subscribed! Dave
how to fix when screw is broken
Wish I’d seen this before I used this product. It’s too thick and difficult to spread on just like you described. Now I have to work on remedies.
Is that plastic over your furniture 🤔 😂
No it is a two part epoxy coating.
The mirror! Nice. And the lighter weight aluminum downspout was smart.
Outstanding! Just what i was looking for!
Yep, when it's cheap you can always throw it away if it doesn't work, lol.
Awesome work
Thanks.Just repaired (2) brad nailers with pinched Orings that go inside the plastic tube from the valve piston. Both guns had someone who installed or attempted to install oversized rings that would not seat square and were leaking.Just found an O ring that fit in the diameter when stretched over the plastic, from a harbor freight assortment. One gun was an BN125 A and one was a BN200A
Thank you Robert . Very informative video.
Thanks for posting this. I was able to follow the same steps (took the spark plug out , put a new one in as it looked spent, tried again, no go. Took the spark out again, sprayed a couple puffs of B-12, put the spark plug back in and started with a little boom and starts without issues now). Guessing most carb cleaners would have similar effect but B12 recommendation made on other comment worked well. They stock them at autozones.
thank you very much just bought a used 744 and this will go a long way for me
You have such a wonderful voice!
1. Tray for the parts being handled 2. White towel to make the parts easy to see 3. Easily understood narrative 4. Professional quality narrator 5. Smooth background music 100% Professional video!
Thank you, also good heads up about removing the battery prior to hammering on the chuck.
Thank you sir you showed me how to get it off and it can’t. Chuck came off just the way you showed it appreciate the video and the help Grace and peace
Rohm Chuck is the best Chuck to replace it with
You are my savior. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I absolutely love what you did. I have been searching to see what pattern I want for my Christmas village. I am going to copy your idea. Clever and ingenious. thanks so much!
I have the 721E and had the same problem...I ordered a new carb from Amazon for like $22. It came with a fuel shut off valve and extra hose. In the stock configuration there is no room to access the fuel shut off vavle if you install it. My solution was to simply not to re install the top exhaust shied plate....this allowed me easy access to the newly installed gas shut off valve. Use premium gas with added Sta-bil and works like a charm. Leave it running, shut the gas valve off and a minute later it dies. No left over gas in the carb bowl to gum it up
Good to hear. You should do a video showing others your solution.
What about when you put a slipcovers on my couchs
Love this good job. Would love to have one,but don't have the tools to make it. Do you have a etsy store where you sell them?
Sorry I don't. However, look other video I have that explain how to make with minimum tools.
@@RobertWadlingtonDIY Thank you I will🥰
Thank You Sir!!
What double sided tape did you use to install the frame to the mirror? THANKS! They look amazing!
As long as it's made by 3M (thick tape) it's the best. I've tried other brands and eventually they fail.
'Promo SM'
The Cabinets came out nice
Thank you for sharing. outstanding creativity.
I have a 1999 grand prix gtp supercharged. Its my baby .just painted rear spoiler and upper rear 1/4 ,because of clearcoat peeling , done base coat clear coat with rattle cans ..I masked it up to where I want the pinstripe tape to cover the join to the origional ,, good vid i would like the company who has good tape
2:18 mine has the exact same dent. The pressure regulator f'd up on my compressor and went up to 180 psi and blew that o ring out. When I took the top off that o ring was unseated. I bet it got jammed between the plunger and the top of the air cylinder. Going to try and fix it myself. THanks man, you may have saved me $100!!!
That is a beautiful club house. I can imagine what the town house look like, That's also the place I can vacation at.
Looks like a nice quite place. by the way how are your eyes doing?
The development is an adult 55+ active community. Thanks for asking...ended up with just the cataract replacement in prep for the major procedure which I did not have to go through. My eye macu hole started closing on its own without surgery which was rare. But still benefited from the cataract len for I have much better vision in that eye without thr need for glasses. Eye is not perfect, but I gues in the 90%, which I'll take for a older guy.
Thank you so much.. my clutch jammed up and I was able to release it, oil it up, and put it back together. Works just like new now!
What type wood did you use is that 1/2 mdf or regular plywood?
Either type is okay. After doing this several times, I think mdf is more stable as to staying flat and not warping as does plywood as it dries out. But you got to keep moisture away from mdf by painting or add a sealcoat on all surfaces. Don't overweight the tree revolver by using real dense mdf which is heavy, try to find and use what they call light-weight mdf. If not available near use use 1/2" thickness over 3/4" thick.
Congratulations 👏🏾
