I remember vividly when you came to our little Sandy valley! Really changed my life trajectory. Inspired me to do track.

I’m currently a 58 year old elementary education student at the University of Phoenix and I watched this video as part of a class assignment. As someone who has returned to college after a long absence and who wants to become a teacher, starting in his early sixties, I found your story touching and inspiring. I can’t tell you how some friends have discouraged me from doing this because it’s a thankless job with little money and little appreciation. But I really want to help and I believe that I can help others as a teacher, regardless of my position in life. Thank you again for inspiring me and am looking forward to watching your other stories. I’ll continue to try and do my part.
