Neil Rutman is a wonderful pianist in every way. It's always a joy listening to him. He always inspires me to go practice.
I can't believe you're someone's student! You should be teaching!! There is a moment when you went from fortissimo to piano at around 1:50 and 2:15 and my heart soared! My brain went WOW! We can't hear such dynamics from the world organ. Your performance is absolutely outstanding! You need to be on a concert stage, Sir! And WOW! This is the best performance I've heard, and I've heard a hundred or so. I love this piece. Thank you for sharing your immense talents with us! Marvelous! Marvelous! Wow! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
thanks, enjoyed this...
i am thinking of loved friends now gone...
Bravissississimo!
Such beautiful playing. What a lovely piece. It's so Ludwig. Sublime.
I just listened to it again after 6 months and it's even better! Such masterful playing. So beautiful.
very nice
Kickass performance

Such lovely crisp playing. Enjoyed it lots. Thank You, Sir.
As a member of Jewish War Veterans I salute you. Thank you.
You play beautifully
thrilling to hear and see you!
Lovely! I have been listening to various interpretations of this piece ` back to back' as it were and the tempo in this recording ` feels just right'.
My favorite Rachmaninoff Prelude. So very beautiful and masterfully played bt Mr. Rutman.
Absolutely exceptional in every way! What a left hand. Wonderful articulation. Master pianist here! Thanks and best regards.
Neil, this is exceptional in every way! You convey the beauty of this piece so deeply. This rivals Bolet and Yeol Eum Son. You are a master pianist and clearly speak to us in a heartfelt way. I'm a new fan. Regards.
Exceptional piano playing. I'll take this over Horowitz anyday. Such beautiful artiiculation and finesse shows you are a master pianist. This will be my go-to performance! Neil, you are fabulous!
Neil, this is not an etude. 1:58- 2:10. With all due respect, you need to capture the Russian soul, which involves certain element of suffering. And grandeur. Listen to Richter or Gilels playing this prelude.
That piccolo part!
What a beautiful lesson
It's such a pleasure to watch you teach! Thanks, Carolina and Neil, for being willing to share the video!
Beautifully illustrated Neil. Thank you so very much. Brian King
Very expressively played! Definitely a hidden gem here on RUclips, thank you sir!
Love it!
Hi Neil! That was amazing! Thank you for sharing! Hope you’re doing well! We should chat sometime
Epic! Thank you, thank you.
Best souvenir from a vacation. Thanks Neil for playing it for us all to enjoy.
Gorgeous music, beautifully rendered! Thank you for sharing with us!
Wow this Interpretation is just amazing. Very imaginative. Thank you for this :)
I interviewed a piano teacher ( for advanced lessons ), who told me that I must only press the keys part way down to play pianissimo. I told her that I always could play pianissimo ( on my new Yamaha GH1 or my former teacher's Bosendorfer grand), but I every time I attempt to do so on her old piano, I can feel the knuckles which are literally in the way! She seemed quite shocked.
5 likes. Makes no sense. Magnificent playing.
Amazing articulation and very clean.
Love it!
Bravo!!!!
I like it if you can see the fingers so good, than I can see how you set them
Love it! Bravo!! Thank you for the fabulous performance!!
Magnificent. This is my favorite Scriabin Etude and you played it wonderful! Makes me want to practice!
I love it!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼¡bravisimo! Dr. Neil Rutman. Es gratificante verlo y escucharlo. Gracias por compartir este video.

This really touches my heart. Thank you for this delightful offering.
My piano teacher at The Hartt School was a protégée of Cecile S. Genhart. She actually named her only daughter Cecile, after her teacher. I was mesmerized by stories my teacher told me about Mrs. Genhart, who had studied with Busoni. My teacher said Mrs. Genhart could play all of Bach’s 48 Preludes and Fugues in any key, and could modulate from one key to another. Her eyes would squint and she would cry when she played. My teacher simply said, “I loved her.“.
I just discovered you by accident, I listened to this piece played by Lugansky and YT took me automatically to your video. Thank you You Tube, I like to discover performers I didn't know. Will listen to more of your music.
Hi. Thanks for the great recording. Could you tell me which number Prelude? Thanks Mike

Excellent performance 👏🏻👏🏻
Neil, I've listened to many recordings of this piece. I much prefer the slower pace as played by yourself. I'm simply drawn to this Siloti arrangement and your pacing!! Well done, sir!
I love it! Just makes me smile
Thank you very much! Danke vielmals! Merci beaucoup!
Bellísima pieza con tintes hipnóticos que te hacen desear escucharla, una y otra vez. Tenía que ser obra de Bach con la pequeña ayuda de un "amigo".
Bravooooo! ❤️👏👏👏🎵🎶🎵🎶
