Located on the campus of Boise State University, the 1,994-seat Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts is Idaho's home for the arts. Nestled on the banks of the Boise River, with a panoramic view of the city, parks, and foothills, the Center's 10-story stage house is a recognizable fixture of the Capitol's picturesque skyline. The realization of a life-long dream of Harry W. Morrison and championed by his widow, Velma, the Center opened its doors on April 7, 1984. Today, the Center is recognized as a major destination for arts and culture, annually hosting hundreds of live entertainment shows, touring Broadway, and offering arts education that enriches the lives of patrons of all ages. As a Boise State affiliate, the Center's budget is supported by ticket sales, facility rentals, donations, and grants. The latest economic impact study for the Morrison Center shows the generation of $27.9M in value to the local and state economy.

Over 70 kids from Idaho high schools came to the Boise State campus to participate in a week-long intensive training in vocals, dancing, and performing. The week culminated in performing in front of a full house at the Morrison Center for the 2024 Patty Duke Awards.

Thought about going to this, but whoever is playing beetlejuice doesn’t do it for me. The voice is like listening to Alex jones and RFK jr at the same time. You’d have to pay me to attend lol
It’s Alex Brightman doing it I’m pretty sure. He had unique vocal cords that allow him to do the voice thing. For some reason this video makes it sound worse than it is. Listen to the soundtrack or a few more clips and you’ll see how much better it is. Also, this was back in Broadway, so it’s a different guy doing it for the tour now.
Alex brightman was the original theater voice of beetlejuice and I honestly thought he did well. But there is a new voice after he left the show last year. That voice being Justin Collet
Julian was great in Rose Red. Loved that movie. RIP my dude!

May sound a bit odd, but Julian Sands and his charisma were my greatest motivation to learn English at school (I'm German). His passing away were like a true, personal shock to me as I'd known him as actor for quite a long time, having watched many films starring him. There was something positively mysterious about him in a way. R. I. P. Sir Mr. Sands
Rest easy, dear Julian. You will be missed tremendously.

I absolutely loved Julian in "A Room with a View" as George Emerson, "Siesta" and "Impromptu" where he played Franz Liszt to Hugh Grant's Frederic Chopin. Taken too soon - RIP
