    Do they all have the same mounting footprint? I had a tlr 1 hl on a Glock 19x, traded it for a sig p365 xmacro. The bigger light does not fit, probably going to buy a TLR7 HLX, just want to make sure it’ll fit. I know the other TLR 7’s fit based off forum posts.

    The TLR7s are great lights. Just wish Streamlight would get rid of all the white lettering/branding on them and change it to black or gray so it doesn't stand out so much.

    To me, as a former LEO, out of these two, Streamlight TLR7-HLX would be my edc and bedside choice, since you’ll usually be on your own when things happen, and under these circumstances, normally your priority is to light up the whole environment, which in these cases, are going to be either a room, or a backyard, or some other places that are similar. Not to mention that the light itself, it's got a decent amount of spill and throw, takes rechargeable batteries, last but not least, battery swap from the front, that’s a big yes. Let's talk about X300T a lil bit. Yall already knew the pros, indestructible, got a comparatively weaker spill but a more focused hot spot to TLR7-HLX, which is a good thing, especially when youre in a stand-out with a suspect, usually youre gonna have partners and possibly multiple gun ports point at the same target, now, a more focused beam with a nice spill is really important, as you have to stay target focused, while paying attention to the suspect's action, facial expression, body language and stuff, so to know when or when not to pull the trigger, you definitely dont wanna put holes in a suspect at the wrong time, thats why you need that centered focused beam, yet you also need that spill to light up the surroundings, cuz usually under these circumstances, unlike home defense, youre not supposed to move your gun port away from the target. Okay, and here comes the big con, X300T drains batteries like FAAAST!!!! And you'll have to holster your weapon during the whole battery swap process, i absolutely hated these moments……

  • @One20Forty
    @One20Forty 6 дней назад

    I absolutely love my X300T, however, X300T drains battery like Dracula sucking blood from a conjoined twins. With the releasing of TLR7HLX, Streamlight truly brightened the future of pistol mounted light industry, kinda reminded me of the time Modlite entered the colosseum.

      The standard x300 ultra actually has less candela than the HL-X (11,300 vs the HL-X’s 22,000). I have both lights and in every aspect the HL-X is the better performing light. Smaller, lighter, USB-C rechargeable cell, and better output. There is a case to be made with the Surefire x300 Turbo model however, that does in fact have more throw and candela.

      For punching through other light sources, rain, snow, windows and other light barriers a X300T will blow the doors off of the TLR7 HLX and the TLR1HL. The 7HLX is a great Defensive light for sure but saying it’s twice the light of a X300T is laughable. It has around 3x the candela. I use my X300T on my FN 510T for the woods and there ain’t no way I’d ever use even a TLR1HL over it lol. I’m definitely grabbing a TLr7 HLX for my HD gun though.

      The gas pedal helps but the Legion still takes the cake overall. It feels like a big part of that is being able to get more contact with the longer grip on the legion frame. Sharps Bros does a longer handled frame as well in that same xMacro/Legion length that may be the best play if you don't already have the Legion.
