Friends. Please give your birds as much space and environmental enrichment as possible. Please provide natural perches and things to do within the environment. Please give them natural light and something to preen or texture to enjoy. These tiny clinical cages are not suitable for multiple birds long term. It is like living in a portable toilet. These are living beings and if you choose to be responsible for their lives the very least you can do is make it as close to a natural environment as possible. Quality over quantity. Quality of life to perform natural behaviour without constant competition stress is basic ethics of animal care. Not one naturally occurring behaviour or anything green, fresh or natural about that set up. Like a Tokyo train station. I say this as a veterinary professional and animal behaviourist with no ill will. Only hopes of a better life for birds in captive cages.

I only have a few birds, so I don't give them apple cider vinegar every time. I gave them fresh water and I put in a few drops of vinegar it it. An old Italian breeder told me about it and I have been doing it ever since. Thank you for passing on the advise to others!

Now they are a nice pair mate.

Went yesterday, was a good show, arrived a bit late tho around 10, managed to pick up some nice budgies altho finding hens was a mission as most seemed to have already been sold by that time, note to future self … get there early 😉
