How do you find the sizing? Some say to go a size down?
Where exactly is that guys? I wouldn't mind trying that place myself.
@@darrenmorgan6735 the best way to explain is by giving the address to the barrage, Queen Alexandra House, Cargo Rd, Cardiff Bay CF10 4LY you will have to pay for parking unless you park further up and walk down to the spot mate, But perfect for all types of anglers you can catch plenty depending on the day 😁🎣🎣🎣
Thanks, I've subbed. I live on the west coast, near New Quay, and have wanted to try for a hound since moving here. Although odd smoothies are caught here it seems Swansea Bay is a better proposition, and I have to say it looks very civilised fishing, even worth the price of parking! Is the tackle shop still open at the pier? Or where's best to pick up some crab?
Hitting the barrage with my father in law this weekend. Great video. Strangley enough we havent been out on a boat either since Paul from Benjoma. Sorely missed
Hi guys, great video, looking to take my young boy here in the next couple weeks for some easy fishing as he has a safe space to play around, hoping to get on the hounds myself but was curious how high the water comes up the wall? If I was to take a small spinning rod for him is there enough water to get into? Never fished it before, Cheers guys
Fantastic angling guys! Could you please tell me what bait you were using?
@@lyoung6795 at the time we was using Mainline Cell, Now we are using Probaits Squid and Orange 🎣🎣🎣
just looking through your last sea fishing videos and mis your enjoyable shows, hope your both well in health, all the best from Cardiff.
Was down at the Mumbles last week but fished Aberavon beach instead.
A good fishing venue when the pier is closed once again and sheltered from the south westerly winds.
I was a bit worried about going to the same field I'm from fairwater but now I seen you down there not worried anymore thank boys
Good luck guys I've enjoyed your work
Thankyou Geoff appreciate the comment mate 🎣
Cant blame you for giving it up, the sea fishing isnt what it used to be , good luck to both of you. tks Allen
Thankyou Allen, Appreciate the kind comment aswell mate, Best of luck to you mate 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Knab rock is easy access as you obviously know it fishes it head off summer time, newton beach also decent, ogmore beach over low water all good marks if that's any help. Great watching the channel
Thankyou Jack Meredith we have kept the bass rods and the spinning rods for places like knab rock because it's one of our favourite places to go and I forgot to mention it in the video, Best of luck with the future mate 🎣🎣🎣🎣
@@TeamSheppardFishingAdventuresyou've built a brilliant channel! Please keep some videos coming even if it's coarse fishing

Good video seen u selling your sea stuff not giving it up are u m8
Better to be safe than sorry, well done steve for getting back out again, true story, if anyone remembers tony who use to have rumney tackle shop on rumney hill, newport road, he went on a nights fishing on sully island with his daughter and some friends, anyway when they reach the spot ( the monkey pole ) some guy was already fishing, while tackling up tonys daughter said wheres the man gone, only his rod and box could be seen, they stopped and went to look for him thinking he may had fallen into the blow hole, he was spotted hanging onto the side of the rocks, they pulled him out, gave him something warm to drink, he left telling them they could keep all his fishing gear, he was told his gear would be safe for him to collect in the flat above the shop but never turned up for it, moral of this true story is never never fish alone in dangerous places, been there twice with Tony but after hearing the story would never go again to sully island.
Nice video lads some nice fish landed too keep up the good work
Nice one boyos! see you on the rocks
I've been to Mathern today, near Chepstow, had 11 carp, biggest 16lb 12oz. On 'bomb and corn or pellet'. Fished match style, not the alarms and boilies. Probably try the sea in April.
Good vid, nice to see you back on the dark side! Hope to bump into you in the bank some time 🎣
Cheers Dave appreciate the watch mate probably bump into you on the bank oneday mate hope your well ?
What distance achieved via overhead vs pendulum please?
Hi mate so we are casting 140-150 via pendulum casting and roughly the same with overhead casting we are usually hitting not far the same distance Dad does go further sometimes depending on the situation.
@@TeamSheppardFishingAdventures thanks for letting us know. I guess overhead casting is pure physical strength as opposed to pendulum being technique. If you perfect your pendulum casting and compare the results, we may know if more force into pendulum will give better results. Thanks to you and your dad for helping us with this information 🙏
Good video i like to fish for carp and i like sea fishing wood like to see u tie that rig m8 tia
Thankyou mate glad you enjoyed it mate I will definitely make a video for it 🎣🎣🎣
Nice one boyos
Cheers butties, Hope your well boys see you on the rocks soon 🎣🎣🎣
Great video guys, and good to see some fish even though the beach fishing has been terrible still good to have a go at something else 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣 Well done o the 1000 subs 👍🏻
Thankyou mate appreciate it, It was nice to do something different for a change it's been dreadful lately, We finally made it to the big number mate lol 🎣🎣🎣
Well done both, You managed a few fish in awful weather.🎣👏👏
Dreadful weather but it was definitely better than working 😂 Glad you enjoyed it mate 🎣🎣🎣
Love this one boys. Something different 👍👍🎣
Thankyou mate appreciate it glad you enjoyed it 🎣
Nice to see another side of fishing. I'm waiting till March to restart my own coarse fishing. As you said....the Channel has been rather unproductive recently so hard to get the motivation to follow the tides.
Thankyou Gar, It was nice to be out doing a bit of course mate, I didn't realise you don't any course fishing 😂 It has been hard to get out with the weather and the tides etc hope your well mate 🎣🎣
What rods & reels / line is best for fishing the barage.. Looking to re start sea fishing, & just to get out of 4 walls after illness.
Hi mate hope your okay, The barrage Rods and reels either a continental rod doesn't have to be expensive or a beach rod would be ideal. Reels wise a 5000 size reel would be fine you can get away with smaller reels if you wanted to aswell, One thing I do highly recommend is a drop net just incase you manage a decent bass etc, Line wise 15lb line I would use unless you are looking to use a leader then something like 50-60lb leader would still bring decent fish up the wall 🎣🎣
Eazy lads you both ok, happy new year from GRIMSBY. Once again nice one for the vid to watch again. We have had haddocks coming out in the humber this year witch is pretty rare. I'm up at 2a.m for 2moz morning's high tide is at 8 ish. Love the show lads
Hope you had a great session mate What did you manage or was it a blank mate 🎣🎣🎣
