This is sick! What are you doing for a steering rack? Just don’t get lost down a 10-1 header rabbit hole like Driftworks did.
Hahah yess the Driftworks 10-1.. gotta love the effort put into that piece! This build is definitely focused on being more of a clean/OEM build, main priority being function! Set up is utilizing an OEM E46 M3 ZF steering rack!
Good job! Are you going to relocate or enclose air filters to avoid pulling hot air from the radiator?
A solution for the air filters is in the works with heat soak from the bay in mind, stay tuned to see what we come up with!

What MAF honeycomb are you using? would you share the spec?
3 1/4 Inch inner diameter is the size of honeycomb element required!
Awesome build. Cant wait to see it running. Question do you think this motor would have fit better in an E92? I’m looking to maybe do a crazy swap myself 😊
That's a good question! There were plenty of challenges fitting the S85 into the E46 chassis, which required modifications. Until we take on that project, comparing would be difficult. Maybe we'll ask our Tech in the next video!

Are the valves being used in variable % positions to control airflow, or are they being used open/closed to route sound through a muffler/straight pipe? If the former, how are you controlling two independent valve positions? I’ve seen some systems that can program the valve positions using OBD2 or geolocation data. You guys did my exhaust but thinking to add valves - but would need a variable position setup, not a typical open/closed affair 🙏

Hey...something to consider is when was this tune loaded. Fab9 has made some leaps n bounds in their tunes over the past 2 years of doing more n more boosted ND2's but even back then the average power coming from their in person tunes on the hks kit hovered around 240-260hp to the wheel. Bryan does have different levels of power he gives out depending on the customer request and support mods/ purpose of the car - seen this happen a few times. Just a thought. I'm sure you could reach out to Fab9 for what the car was given if you all are curious or want to double check what that car was loaded with.
