    Cheese Louise!!! It appears everybody has their panties in a bunch! Relax everyone... everything is going to be okay. NI and the Maschine + is going to be alright. You all can look at it this way... NI prioritized the desktop software first, whereas Akai prioritized the standalone firmware and no MPC 3 software update mentioned. The Maschine + still works, as far as I know. I'm sure more improvements will come in due time.

    I think you're absolutely right I expected more from Mashine the software and it never came. Until the paid update. Disgraceful! I bought Pigments from Arturia 4 years ago, it was V2. They've just released V6 and the updates are still free. Arturia updates are always big updates on their synths (Microfreak/Minifreak/Polybrute/VST/etc) and yet Arturia is a small company compared to NI... NI is too voracious!

    I would jump for joy if they ramped up the potential for Standalone & allowed users to record their live jam / sketch song ideas directly into the Arranger, using the mute & sample Pads + Group pads... Etc... ~ ( We have been waiting so long for a significant update to the UI & Software... ) ~ There is an update coming apparently, but I'm worried it won't offer what pure Standalone users have asked for...

    Its normal to get that, especially with the workflow of starting with the drop and doing subtractive and additive arrangement, once you have this you need to make the transitions buildups and breaks more interesting create some atmo's and try to create extra tension. In ableton people often say go to arrangement view for producing, session view is not important, however starting in session view helps you create a track and get a feel for the arrangement much better and it more fun. Try session view bind the session lanes to some drumpads on your midicontroller and start jamming....its quite nice....

    Sound designers and other producers complain to me that NI was too closed off and that's why they preferred Akai MPC Beats to use for business. But now they've opened up and think that was the thing that I kept hearing repeatedly about NI. What are people complaining about? Not having a touchscreen? I most definitely enjoy the fact that it doesn't. I also have to say that the clip mode upgrade was definitely a way to complement DJing on the maschine with that Ableton push feel. Sample/Audio per sound and real time stretching ability is still alot more that was given to users with no hesitation. I guess touchscreens is next?

    I would not say that NI is doing anything wrong here. Collabs with other companies can create a massive profit and promote your products. NI refreshed their Traktor software (which we waited for so long for that everyone forgot about it). Maschine can wait for a while, you will get a new one a few years later. Let them focus on the DJ software and hardware first for a couple of years to get back on track.

    Very well explained. I fully agree with you. When sitting behind a DAW, I noticed that my mind get distracted by all the options (like unwanted notifications, lights that ask for you attention, lists to choose from, etc) and that I loose the feeling that I had in the first place of the sound I want to create. When only using a physical 🎹keyboard, it gives a limitation which prevents my mind from being distracted, which keeps me in my flow.

    One of the most innovative NI's tech - Reaktor - hasn't got an update in 5 or so years. Add to that their new intarfaces, which are not good. I recently decided to upgrade from my Komplete Audio 6 Mk1 (2011) and thought that Mk2 (released 5 years ago) would be the same but with 2 headphone outs which I desperately need. Almost bought it blindly, but noticed an oddity on the front panel. Long story short, the new intarface doesn't allow direct monitoring on outputs other than main 1-2, and both (!) headphones are hardwired to the same outs 1-2. Channels 3-4 are useless. And on top of that their Windows driver was outsorced (panel looks exactly like Behringer one and some other low budget interfaces). The main reason why KA6 Mk1 was so good is their Win driver which was developed in the house. I couldn't believe it. Went with Arturia Minifuse 4, which looks and behaves like spiritual successor to the KA6 Mk1 more than NI stuff itself. And Maschine software v3, which was a paid upgrade, is disappointing. They stopped developing synths, hardware, stopped making effects, all they do now is sample-based instruments for Kontakt and cross-promotions like this one. But yeah, they bought iZotope, I guess.

  • @BitsBytesBobs
    @BitsBytesBobs 12 дней назад

    Nonsense. Why people are so upset, because NI and Akai created a deal to have a small amount of the NI library on Akai MPC. You make out, that MPC has Komplete Ultimate Collectors edition, or that NI will be selling it off to MPC at reduced amounts. The libraries in the MPC are really very small, really small, which is why they are about $35 each. It's just a means of NI, to get its sound on other devices and then perhaps have those who use MPC to consider buying one of the more expensive Komplete series for their computer/DAW. It's strategic.

    • @alexsk86
      @alexsk86 11 дней назад

      No, the big issue is NI has a history of not listening to their users and neglecting their own software . Not having this on maschine + is a big slap across the face.

    • @BitsBytesBobs
      @BitsBytesBobs 11 дней назад

      @@alexsk86 I see your point. Perhaps there is an imminent update pending for Machine+. I've got a Machine, Kontrol 61 keys and have upgraded NI Ultimate Collectors Ed. most years since NI Komplete 3. It's not as though NI can't afford not to do it, they are easily the biggest software instruments company in the world now. As far as I was made aware, that the MPC versions are basically selected sounds from the NI library. Given that only three of the MPC sound banks have been released, it's hard to judge what is on the MPC and not on Machine+. As these sound banks are only small and about £30.

    • @BitsBytesBobs
      @BitsBytesBobs 11 дней назад

      @@dubbylabby6068 I don't think NI are desperate, given that they're the largest software instruments company in the world and own other software plugin companies too, such as iZotope. Perhaps, they're getting so large, that they're starting to lose track of their loyal fan base. NI have managed to annoy most owners of Kontact for instance at one point or another the last few years.

    I guess there are two possible ways now.. 1# native instruments and akai came together for the fight in the marked (ableton as the enemy), they work together on a new device to save the marked. 2# native instruments let the hardware go and focus on software only in future, they sell to akai and take a part in the marked.. i have no other answer for the move they do 🤷🏻‍♂️
