Just wanted to say thanks for documenting this. I have the same cabinet and used RiddledTV’s switcher and a aux board and your forum posts to do the same to mine. I have Area51/Max Force, Lethal Enforcers, Trophy Hunting Bear Moose, and Atomiswave (Ranger Mission, Extreme Hunting 2, Sport Shooting) currently. I really appreciate you sharing your build, it helped me a lot!

Was this difficult to install or require any modifications to wiring? I have the exact same Max Force cabinet and was thinking of adding LE and maybe some others similar jamma gun games. If all you had to do was plug in the LE board then I’ll probably attempt this.

@@haydendue3126 yeah Area 51 cab is very similar it has better access actually because the back cover is a lot bigger.

This could be a sign that the sound capacitors are about to crap out (and Lethal Enforcers is a common victim of those shoddy Konami issued capacitors)
Yeah I'm pretty sure that is the issue. I don't know if I'll try to replace it or not as I just haven't played it in quite a while.

I’m actually in the process of doing the exact same thing with my Area 51 site 4 machine. Would you mind sharing pictures of your wiring harnesses you made and what the wiring on you relay board looks like?

@@purbeast thanks a lot man! That write up was super helpful. One final question, did you have to do anything special to get the sound on your lethal enforcers board to get it to work with the single speaker in the maximum force cabinet? I noticed on my board it was a separate pin out for speakers and doesn’t seem to play sound out of the Jamma harness like my regular Area 51, and site 4 games do. Not sure if I need to wire it in special, or if I have a bad PCB board.
@@rollinsgi No I didn't do anything different. Lethal Enforcers are notorious for having the sound chip go bad though, it's very common and they all eventually go out. I did have to change the setting in the test menu to mono though because without doing that, the sounds on the right side of the screen were faded big time. Player 2's shot was always more muted until I changed it to mono.
Finally, a full playthrough on actual hardware! And I can actually see the Stage 1 and 5 bosses this time!
Glad it could help! I hope to do more full play throughs of other games, some that are not very known as well. I have quite a few of them and am always trying to get more.

@@SolCresta3405 That's not an actual light gun game and won't work in my cabinet. Those games with mounted guns just have some sort of analog type stick under then that is what actually moves the cursor on screen rather than using light gun tech to capture where gun inputs.

@@SolCresta3405 I'm going to do a play through of the other mode in Locked N' Loaded at some point. I also have Friction coming this week and will do a video of that one.
It’s probably an issue with the graphics ram on the b board. You can either replace them if you have good soldering skills or replace the parts from another system 22 (like Cybercycles)
I have long resolved this. It ended up being boards 3 and 4 were both bad. Replacing one of them fixed the issue with the textures flashing, and the other one fixed the issue if you look at the text where it says "STAGE 1" it is kind of messed up, and the life bar looks messed up - that is what replacing the other board fixed.
@@purbeast that’s awesome!!! I have one that I have gotten for a deal and I’m trying to find more parts for it just in case it decides to fail on me. One question, do you know the size of the fan so I can get a replacement? Mine didn’t come with a fan and I powered it once to and it does get pretty toasty in the metal cage.
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade Yeah it's 120mm x120 x 38mm. I ordered this one as a replacement since I was converting mine to JAMMA and needed a 12v one. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PS2Q9B6. It's pretty damn loud as you can hear in the video. I bought another cage from someone after I had the one in my video so I still have the 2 good boards from there. The one I had in the video also included the pedal and the gun I/O board, as well as the 24v PSU and some other boards I'm not using.

Yeah a ton of games. I have like 14 or so light gun games now.

@@cincinnatichurchoftheflyin8358 I have the following in there: Area 51 / Maximum Force duo Area 51: Site 4 Police Trainer Lethal Enforcers Lethal Enforcers 2 Invasion Carnevil And then for the 8th slot I ran the wire externally so I can swap games easily without pulling the cab out. It sits on top of the Rush cab right next to it. I have the following games that also work and I just swap them outside when I want to play em: Target Terror Gold Police Trainer 2 Egg Venture Time Crisis Ranger Mission Sports Shooting USA Locked N' Loaded Deer Hunting USA Some of them took a bit of work and/or require gun harnesses I made, but they all plug and play easily now and are all compatible just fine with the happ guns. Time Crisis took the most work because it's not even JAMMA and I had to wire up another power supply because it uses a lot of power and the long cable run to the external slot made it lose too much volts to work properly.

It doesn't out of the box. It only works because I made a Time Crisis -> JAMMA harness.

How did you wire the guns between the game pcbs?

I am glad that Xbox one will have some solid games in every catagory....I think as far as fighting games...This one is it!!! Just think about in Racing games...Forza looks incredible..In game making and sharing...Project Spark looks incredible...in FPS....TitanFall looks incredible...in Survival horror....Dead Rising looks incredible..And in fighting games....Killer Instinct looks incredible!!
M.O.J.O. is basically the xbox one with more freedom because you can play everything you have on your phone on it. And its a more useful entertainment system, because of the google play store functionality. And cheaper games are nice. The only thing it doesn't have is your favorite AAA title, which you pay like 60$ bucks, and then if its EA maybe even 80$. I don't know about you but while games cost money to make, I don't think we should pay so much. And data expansion is cheaper too.
yeah im having the same conundrum right now.... got my ps4 preordered but spending lots of time watchin fighting tournaments at the moment... would be nice to have a next gen fighter with my new console and KI actually looks really good and something new and fresh (at least for me). Might actually switch :/

This will not change if all cited games will be multiplatform. P.S. Actually i want Xbox One because Killer Instinct is exclusive and Final Fantasy XV is multiplatiform.
