Can you plz explain why government has no influence in two sector model
In the Two-Sector Model of the circular flow of income, also known as the Simple Keynesian Model, the government is not explicitly included as a sector. This is because the model focuses on the interactions between: 1. Households (consumers) 2. Firms(producers) The two sectors interact through the market, exchanging goods and services for money. The government is not directly involved in this process. However, this doesn't mean the government has no influence at all. The government can indirectly affect the economy through: 1. Fiscal policy: Government spending and taxation can influence aggregate demand, which affects the overall level of economic activity. 2. Monetary policy: The central bank, controlled by the government, can regulate the money supply and interest rates, impacting the economy. To incorporate government influence, the model can be extended to the Three-Sector Model or the Four-Sector Model, which include: 1. Government (public sector) 2. Foreign sector (international trade) These extended models acknowledge the government's role in the economy and its impact on the circular flow of income. Keep in mind that the Two-Sector Model is a simplified representation of the economy, and its limitations are acknowledged. The government's influence is indeed important, and more advanced models strive to capture its effects.
