Ft. Benning Jump School/C-130 Airdrop
Here's a clip of some of the 1272 jumps made from our C-130 for the jump school students from Lawson AAF.
Cameraman was a piece of tape, a foam cup, and a structural support in the back of the plane.
Enjoy!

Firing my M-10 9mm with 2-stage suppressor on a target of opportunity... I knew the smell was gonna be bad, but damn... just be glad there's no smell on youtube! Still though, I hope you all enjoy my antics! In this clip, I had 25rds in the mag, and it emptied in about a second.

To slow to slow everybody back inside the aircraft and we will tray again!😅
As a very old now retired Loadmaster hanging 10 was my favorite thing. Had a $10.00 bet with a Jumpmaster I could hang out of the 141 further than him. If I ever see him I owe him 10 bucks. I have always wondered how his 10 mile hike back to the DZ went. Only one to beat me in 24 years as AD Loadmaster Msgt 8th, 97th & 728th McChord AFB 😎🇺🇸
THANK ALL OF YOU!. My son is in Airborne training Ft. Benning now.
XVIII Airborne Corp 1973-1975 Ft Bragg
The 1st of April 1967, April Fool’s Day, I started Jump School with some “Leg” yelling You’ll Be Sorry! Three weeks and five jumps later from a C-119, l had my silver wings. Two days later, I was at Fort Bragg starting SF training. I spent ten years Airborne with SF and the 82nd. Loved every minute.
Loadmaster 66-69 Nam era loadmaster many missions with troops out of Campbell and Benning and it never gets old watching how it’s done now!
lol at how some of the trainees *stop* to hand over the static line.
Airborne,,all the way and then some 1976 graduate
Last guy to jump clearly smacked the edge of the door. Ik he went spinning 😬😬. Hope he landed ok. Being first and last are best because you can position yourself for an amazing exit.
For everyone here that would like to jump again, there is the World War Two Airborne Demonstration Team in Frederick, OK. We jump from two WWII C-47's, run a parachute school and remember, honor and serve the memories of those para and glider troopers that fought in WWII. www.wwiiadt.org
C-174 Aug 1987 huuuuuuaaaa!!
What C174?
Why no eye protection ??
I was in Airborne School last year and they never allowed eye pro for some reason.
Probably because "FOD" concern.Too much risk of the glasses simply being ripped off in the airstream.
Jump school October 76. First jump C-123. Would love to have one more jump...
'69🤙 4 jumps - c119, and 1 from a c141😜 I'm papa 32😎
Class 13, 1975. Last class to use only the T-10 main. Next class made 4 T-10 jumps and 1 using the MC1-1b maneuverable canopy. There was 1 female black hat who trained 2 female students, was funny running in a large group of men watching the mini platoon of 3 women run in front of us. Airborne all the way!
Jumped T-10 IN 1980... 82ND
C-130 best aircraft in the world. Master Blaster B Co 2/ 504 PIR. 30 up 30 out tight as a frogs ass. 386 jumps in 3 years.
Too many people near that open door! And who was the PJM, the Safety?
Memories.
This is not Halo training this is military freefall school been there
Yeah, this is the "Static line" part of the "Freefall" parachute training. -_-
Lol.
16-86 checking in. Good stuff.
Things have since I made my last jump in 1984 while in the 82nd Airborne, I'm pretty sure it was a night jump from a C-130. The two main differences in this video is the location of the ripcord handle on the reserve parachute which is on the top now. Also as a drop master myself I remember standing on the platform hanging completely out into the wind stream checking on following aircraft if any.
It a but in the 90's. It became "stand by" instead "stand in the door". You basically do like a column half left or right depending on which side of the aircraft you exit. I went to Airborne School in 88 and then didn't jump again until mid 90's when the changes took place. All the reserves were MIRPS. Last jump was June of 2001 at Mason Ri in Korea.
Wait a sec. doors open and they are doing “ hook up!” WTF!?!?
Once your Airborne.your always Airborne for life...class of 1980
Class of 2002.
The things already dead who cares
What are the most reliable available mags for the m10/9. If it's single feed I'll change the bolt
Those couple weak exits had me cringing. LoL, Those guys are about to be pro-bicyclists HAHAHAHA
Yes sir...ha.ha.ha.
wow things have changed a bit.. but looks like still the same basics stand up ..hook up shuffle to the door .. would love to see a more current vid.. 1-320th-101st sniper 1sgt (retired)
No more standing in the door it seems. What a great xp to do that.
Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhat a rush! Love it, love it, love it.
I jumped from a C-124 at Ft. Benning Georgia in September of 1963. I love it, love it, love it. Jumping out of a C-130 over the jungle of South East Asia was a different story. What a blessing to be alive and I thank God every day of life.
I know I'm hella late but welcome home brother.
Thank you for serving! My son is in airborne training now.
Yea i finished Airborne the 17th last month and this makes my shit pump fast.
Trust me as an owner of 5 NFA firearms I'm not in any gun owner closet. I get it it looks fun but clips like this get used against us gun loving patriots.
Not helping the gun loving cause. Yeah it looks fun but probably shouldnt put it on youtube.
Even watching it gets my adrenaline pumping.
