Sophie Returns to Youtube with GIANT first cast catch!!!

The @ArkansasGameandFishCommission is draining Lake Wilhelmina, and I would say it is almost empty.... it'll be an awesome lake again in several years, but it sure is sad to see it so empty now.

This was filmed about 2 weeks before the arrival of our 2nd son! We headed deep into the Ouachita Mountains to find a swimming and fishing spot, and the Cossatot River was absolutely perfect. Come along as we explore some beautiful Arkansas country and find an awesome little swimming spot, then ended up housing a real nice Smallmouth bass!

As some of y’all know, Lake Wilhelmina is being drained for dam renovations and to open up more bank access! This is a short update on the lake. It’s currently around 9 feet low and falling around 1 Foot per day according to the AGFC. Thanks for watching!!!!

The @ArkansasGameandFishCommission has found a leak in the infrastructure at our beloved Lake Wilhelmina, and plan to pull the plug and began dam renovations on August 1st, 2024! We will be without the lake for roughly a year, and fishing will take a few years to really get good again after that. I want to say a huge thank you to the efforts of our AGFC!
