Thats definitely a repowered bus with an implanted Series 50. Those buses still had 6V92 engines in 1991

All changed from when I visited there. They had just introduced the new GO branding scheme for Raleigh so everything was still in the CAT scheme except for a couple of new Gilligs that had just been delivered. Orion Vs were still around too.

You have very big opportunities today. D40LF's from Fellsway Garage and D40LF's from Winter Contingency at Albany Garage also XDE40'S 3200s are litterley running on routes 28 and 39 today. The XDE60'S 1300s are also running on SL4 and SL5 today

Love two speed boxes. First time I've heard an Alison one. Have heard ZF, Voith and Scania ones. The Renk 3 speed doromat as used in MAN buses goes like it's a 2 speed as well as the Spicer single speed.

Thats an interesting tail light configured around the right tail lights..is therebany reason for the additional lights? Wait. Im dumb, thats just the livery lol

I learned to drive on these, we had buses like this that were late 60's early 70's. They had power steering with a 671 engine and 2-speed automatic. We also had some early 60's models the same configuration except NO power steering, now those were a workout to drive all day. 😀
