Warped Cigars "Isla del Cocodrilo" Review: Wholesome Wholegrain Newcomer is Made for Chomping
Double binders are not something that you encounter in the cigar world all that often. Not only do they add to the overall cost of the cigar, but because they typically contain two different tobacco strains, they can cause massive headaches for the master blender.
Warped Cigars founder, Kyle Gellis, knows this all too well. In order to craft his latest regular-production premium cigar blend, Isla del Cocodrilo, he had to go through hell and high water to make the proverbial magic happen.
But with a significant amount of patience and a good bit of coin, the ever-creative mastermind behind one of the world's hottest boutique cigar brands eventually found the perfect combo. And today we're go...

La Aurora "1903 Cameroon" Review: And the Award for the Oiliest Cigar Wrapper of the Year Goes To...
Просмотров 1079 часов назад
Numerical, date-related misconceptions run rampant in the cigar industry. Not only is it confusing for the average consumer, as they attempt to ascertain what the year stamped on the band represents, but it can also make note-taking a bit of a mess for those of us who dissect and assess stogies for a living. People see the word "decade" on a cigar band or in a product description and immediatel...
Lovely Cigars "No. 162" Review: A Mellow Sumatran That is Mild But Never Bland
Просмотров 8014 часов назад
Hear ye, hear ye... all you light, mild, mellow, and lowkey cigar smokers. Today is your day to get the skinny on what is easily one of the least intense Sumatran cigars on the market today: The ever-impressive No. 162 from Lovely Cigars. Constructed out of a silky soft Ecuadorian-grown Sumatran wrapper, a secondary Sumatran binder, and all Nicaraguan long-fillers, this mild-medium smoke is mor...

Can ya'll hear that? That's the collective sound of millions of light cigar smokers screeching in terror at the sight of something dark and ominous on the horizon. El Rey del Mundo "Oscuro" Review: An Impressive Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro Lawnmower Cigar
Просмотров 7814 дней назад
When was the last time you sparked a cigar from El Rey del Mundo? It's been a long-ass time since I fired one up as well, which as I write this review, makes me feel like we've all been missing out. Despite having been around since 1848, when it was first founded in Cuba, this OG of the cigar biz has seen very little evolution over the past few decades. In fact, receiving its own American spin-...
🚤🌐Luciano Cigars "Foreign Affair" Review: Butter Cookies, Sweet Cream, Ginger & Cinnamon Spice
Просмотров 19514 дней назад
Foreign Affair by Luciano Cigars entices with an all-medium approach, and a blend recipe that relies upon tobacco from Costa Rica and not one, but two binders. To find both of these rarities in such a slender cigar earmarks this smoke as one of the more unique offerings in the Klaro collection. The first third starts with ginger snaps and cinnamon raisin bread. Buttery shortbread coated in toas...

🍫🍒☕Punch "Diablo" Review 😈 A Dark Chocolate Berry Crunch Bar With a Side of Espresso & Evil
Просмотров 207Месяц назад
Floral, spiced, spicy, and playful at times, but also darker than the deepest halls of Hades, this maduro from Punch Cigars and AJ Fernandez makes a strong case for extending the length of fermentation times for Sumatran wrappers. Throw in a dash of dark fruity chewiness, blend in a bit of dried oak and sweet cedar, and you are left with a maduro cigar that is just as intense and rich as it is ...
🌋Plasencia "Alma del Fuego" Review: From Volcanic Ash to Orange Zest, Oak & Spice
Просмотров 148Месяц назад
The blend behind "Alma del Fuerte" from Plasencia requires the use of no less than 75% tobacco pulled straight from the island of Ometepe down in Nicaragua. A fresh water isle known for having not one, but two volcanoes, and a volcanic soil substrate unlike anything else on the planet. The result is a cigar that tastes brilliant, and balances lively flavors with near full-strength Nicaraguan pu...

Просмотров 174Месяц назад
"Unforsaken" by Esteban Carreras is one of the best barrel-aged cigars we stock at Klaro. A premium cigar blend that is not aged once, but twice in 18-year-old Flor de Caña rum casks prior to being rolled, and then once again post production to form a cigar flavor profile that is just as complex as it is creamy. Wrapped in a San Andrés leaf that is not all the way Mexican maduro, a binder pulled from the Sumatran soils of Indonesia, and a one-off filler mixture from the Caribbean islands and South America, HOF by David Ortiz and Artista Cigars is both bold and balanced. 🥃 Diesel Cigars "Whiskey Row" Review: Sweet Bourbon, Vanilla & Oak By the Barrel

Taking old booze-laden barrels and giving them fresh purpose as tobacco aging vessels may be nothing new. 📐Does a LARGE Cigar Ring Gauge Affect Flavor and Intensity?
Просмотров 256Месяц назад
The shapes, sizes, and styles of cigar types (aka vitolas) are just as diverse as the tobacco blends that make them possible. But does smoking a premium cigar blend with a colossal, 70 ring-gauge grande vary that greatly from say, puffing on a wafer-thin lancero with the exact same tobacco blend? Let's discuss... 🐙10th & 16th Best Cigars in the World!!! 🃏 Artesano del Tobacco Talks "El Pulpo" & "Viva la Vida"
I may try that one looks and sounds interesting and I love the name of it
The Jester is AWESOME!! I also really like the El Pulpo Would love to know what they're planning next.. Sent both out to several of my buddies they all have great things to say..
Apparently they have been working on a corojo if memory serves. We can already tell it's gonna be amazing. Just like every other blend they've made with AJ Fernandez. Thanks for liking and following along with us and for sending out smokes!
December 7th is the perfect day to smoke a cigar in Japan? Youre killing me, bro! 😂😂😂😂 La Aurora is criminally underrated.
The review was actually filmed in mid November, but yeah, southern Japan tends to be pretty mild when it comes to winters. And I 100% agree with you on the fact that La Aurora is underrated. Everything about them is pure gold!
this one I will have to try it looks good thank you for share and keep these amazing review coming
great review keep up the great work
This one proved to be well worth the wait I think. Sometimes a little extra aging is all you really need!
Love that ammo box as a humidor.
It's pretty slick, you're right there. Functional and sturdy as all hell too!
Thank you for doing a review on this cigar!
My pleasure! I take it you are a fan of this blend?
@fatashjournal66 No I've heard a few people talking about it but never saying what was good or bad about it. I would go to order one to try it out only to get sidetracked by another cigar. This review was the first that really described this cigar in detail!!! Thanks again.
Oh well I'm happy that we were able to help in some small way! Please give it a shot and let us know what you think!
Solid Review great insight keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it! We'll keep on cranking away as long as ya'll keep on clickin'!
another great review keep up the good work
Much appreciated! So nice to have a loyal follower who routinely watches our reviews!
Coming from the pipe world smoking dark fired tobacco blends, I love these cigars. They are absolutely my favorite all around smoke for any occasion
Oh we can see that! It's definitely not for everyone, but that's alright. Those who do appreciate it are all the better off.
Dont like crux. No passiom just created a business so they could sell it. And dont like that epicure is now trademarked by them in the us
Haven’t smoked the Red in quite a while but when you said campfire, that made me remember a definite graham cracker note that I loved. Good review.
Yeah this one is definitely worth a revisit. It's easily my fave of the bunch outside of "Circle of Life," which really is its own side project.
Second video I've seen about this cigar with a punch cut that was unsuccessful. 🤔
Great review sounds like a delicious cigar ...keep up the great work
The red is one that people tend to buy whole boxes of at a time. It really is rather scrumptious and affordable enough to justify a box buy. And happy to hear that you are still digging our little channel. More to come!
@fatashjournal66 your little channel has the best reviews of all the cigar channels you provided so much information and back history it's awesome. Thank you
Thanks for the kind words and for tuning in! Just wait until the cigar studio is complete, because then we'll REALLY be cranking out some quality reviews.
@@fatashjournal66 I cant wait
Love your character lol
And he loves you! Thanks for jumping in and adding a comment to appease the mighty algorithm gods!
Smoked the Diablo once before and didn’t think much of it, wishing it had a little more sweetness. Will have to revisit soon. Good review.
Please do! It's not as sweet as certain San Andres maduro or Broadleaf blends, but still sticky and fruity enough to warrant revisiting. Amazing aromatics too!
Good review. Placencia cigars are definitely weekend smokes with their price points.
Yes they are! The smaller vitolas of Reserva Original are pretty affordable though, especially considering it is a 100% organic blend.
Got mine from Klaro. After resting for a few weeks in my humidor, it was sweet and chocolate tasting with a good draw.
Good move! And glad to hear you enjoyed this blend. It's a fave around here for sure.
great review and that cigar looks good I will have to try it
It's so good!
How do I find that ashtray
Pretty awesome, isn't it? I found this one for $10 at a local thrift store here in Japan. From the looks of it someone handmade it for pipe smoking. Hence the little "silo stack" on one side for holding pipe tobacco that now serves as a holder for cigar bands when I'm reviewing so they don't blow away or get misplaced.
Thanks
nice review and great choice for your review .. keep up the amazing work
Yeah that brewery is a real fave of ours!
You have to pay for the other features ridiculous
The Klaro subscription actually saves you money, as it discounts all of the humidor solution that is needed for your humidor, ergo the features that get unlocked within the app are a free bonus perk.
Was not impressed with this cigar but I smoked the 5x52 maybe I should revisit and try the 6x60.
In all honesty, I wasn't blown away by this blend either the first time I smoked one. But after a while I circled back, and hot damn does it grow on you. The Gigante really is the way to go too in my opinion. A great burner that smokes nice and cool.
I tend to stay away from larger cigars just because I usually don’t have the time to smoke them. Nothing worse than having to hurry a quality cigar.
I presume you prefer Robustos, Rothschilds, and Coronas if that's the case?
@@fatashjournal66 you are correct Sir. 95% of my cigars are robustos.
great information and I enjoy a larger ring gage but this may sound funny to you I have very very large hands and the larger ring gages feel better in my hand . I also like the 1.5 to 2 hour relaxing time also lol keep up the amazing videos
Interesting! I too prefer a larger ring gauge, but typically tend to keep it under a 60 gauge due to time constraints. LOLZ
I am glad I was able to tune in and watch today .. I sometimes like green tea, so I will see if I can get one and try that cigar. Keep up the amazing reviews
Oh yeah, definitely check this blend out. It's different for sure, but in the best possible way.
This will definitely be my next buy :) Awesome review! :D
Awesome! Thrilled to hear you dig the review, and curious to hear what you think!
Smoking the Jester this very moment while watching this. I love this cigar!!
That's awesome to hear! Sounds like the perfect pairing!
Really like this cigar. Its a caramel bomb to me.
I got some caramel, but noted a salted toffee undertone at times too. Such a great flavor profile on this blend!
Good review. Will keep my eye open for that cigar.
Hope you enjoy it!
Love it, this was great- like a nuttier cousin to the Flor de Las Antillas. Agree with the review, and really enjoyed this smoke today. 👍
Right on! Happy to have you on board good sir! Stay tuned for more content from your friends at Klaro!
another great review
I appreciate that! Just you wait to see what's next!
another great review thank you
Thanks for watching once again! We'll keep at it as long as ya'll keep watching!
I love that hay grass and earth smell, reminds me of being in a barn. La aroma CT
Never seen a Cuban wrapped in it
Yes, Cubans tend to be the exception. That would make for an interesting topic of discussion. We will contact our Cuban cigar specialists and see what they have to say. Appreciate the input!
This is the single video on RUclips about cigar chewing.
How would you rate the pepper against the Padrón Family Reserve 96 Natural?
I personally found it to be far more peppery and richer in many ways, as it is a heavily fermented maduro. Truly an incredibly complex premium cigar blend.
Such a shame I could not find el pulpy in france
Oh no! That truly is a shame... Please don't give up, because it is an outstanding cigar.
Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
NO THANKS , 14 dollar Tupperdore for this guy and all dressed up to boot and im buying not just sticks but with the extra cash goin all in premium ceeegggaaars baby !! Cheers .
how do you get a job smoking and revising cigars for a living ? and this was a great video thanks for sharing
Glad you liked this interview. Oliver is an absolute hoot. And I got the job just by word of mouth and a friend introducing me to the owner of Klaro.
@fatashjournal66 thank you for sharing this video it was a great interview and congrats on your job you do it's an awesome job to have
6:59 na I don't know why but at that moment you were looking like a bad boy
🤭
Finally, a cigar channel where I see retrohaling. Awesome!
Oh man, the retrohale is perhaps the most crucial component of the review process! I cannot stress this enough to people, as your nose oftentimes dictates what your palate detects, and visa versa. Plus, when you've got a shnozz with the size and sensitivity of mine, you can detect all sorts of wild nuance!
The BX3 is a great smoke. Always keep one in my humidor.
Same here! It's just as delicious and consistent as it comes really. Thanks for chiming in BTW!
Great review!!
Thank you! Cheers!
what a great review I will definite try the BX3 thank you for sharing
Please do! Thanks for watching!
BX3 is one of my all-time faves. Ive always preferred the Toro but the Robusto is a great choice for anyone who doesnt want intense espresso bitterness in the final third.
Yeah the larger vitolas of the BX3 tend to get a touch too rough and just too funky in the terroir department toward the end I find. Robusto is the way to go, especially when smoking outdoors in nearly 100% summer humidity.
Sorry if someone has already asked, but are you guys going to carry this cigar?
Yes we do indeed carry it. But it is only available to Klaro Members during the month of August. Definitely worth signing up if you haven't already. Especially if it means starting off with this smoke.
Tastes like it should, terroir
Nice. Trippy litt... trippy big cigar😊
You already know!
Small following, but geeat videos! Keep it up sir. Editing is well done
