I have a spot of concrete on my driveway about 16 wide by 8 feet chipped can that be repaired with asphalt
as a person who draws surveys... i finally have found my enemy
It is about time ADA gets upgrades to their rules. We just need more enforcement on public and private properties. We have enough problems without people not caring about our needs for access. We also need unauthorized parking enforcement with a lot stiffer penalties nation wide.
A bigger effort needs to be made to get the rule changes out to the property owners. It is great that contractors and inspectors know and follow the regulations, but many property owners simply don't know. Enforcement should also include an acceptable amount of time to make the repairs without being fined. There are some people out there who make a living off of suing businesses for violations. And many of those cases were over petty issues, like a renovated bathroom had a new floor installed and the pull bars in the stalls were a 1/4 inch off.
