Amazing video! And why is 124 there at blue island?
Ngl, I’m surprised that Wilson is an express stop, and not Addison.
that's mostly just because belmont is one station south and serves the brown line too, as much as the cubs overwhelm addison on game days, its a pretty average station ridership wise on other days, wheras wilson and uptown generally are very dense with a pretty big entertainment scene
You should side view rides
Cool
The old Evanston Express, with extra stops. They used to run non-stop between Howard and Merchandise Mart.
@@8avexp back when quad track extended that far down!
wth
What the sigma
I love riding the UP/N line from my hometown of Winnetka to Chicago.
354 stops at New Buffalo Niles Kalamazoo Battle Creek Albion Jackson Ann arbor Dearborn Detroit Royal oak Troy Pontiac

@@AmyLExtraordinaire I only told you where it stops
How close is the Red Line's North & Clyborn station from there?
Yes, it is just across the street to the left of the camera!
@AmyLExtraordinaire I'm just wondering if the old Halsted station could be rebuilt here and, somehow, there could be a connection to the Red Line from here.
@@RayArias I personally think it should be rebuilt. most of the land next to the tracks here is parking lot and since theres only 2 tracks on the brown/purple line you could straighten out the curve a bit for faster travel. connecting it directly to the red line would be difficult but not impossible.
Nice horn salute from the rail operator.
I love when they do that
Hi
hello
36 mph > 15 mph
i do like when it goes fast
this was shutdown yesterday D:
The new Train station roblox
i love that they made the roblox redline in real life
that looks like milwaukee avenue
its one block over yes
I SAW THIS A WASHINGTON AND WABASH
It always amazes me how wide the streets would be if the entire l was torn down. Youd have almost 4 lane main streets.
You'd certainly have room for it under the tracks in this video. A car lane is only 11-14 ft wide but each track on this right of way gets 15ft of width. realistically car lanes also have shoulder clear zones most of the time but I'm sure there's an example of this somewhere
@@AmyLExtraordinaire I’m surprised the don’t have many center running bus lanes
Why is the express on local tracks by the Addison station and how can it be express when track is shared
The other tracks are in construction and are not ready yet
I love the ground levels on the Brown, Pink, Yellow and Purple Line.
Love the fact the new infrastructure is being used for Purple Line Express trains. Are you able to do the Forest Park Branch? I haven't seen one video yet showing the progress of its Rebuild.
This train go to UIC?
7:14 Location of original and future Lawrence 7:37 location of original and permanent Argyle 8:10 location of Berwyn 8:46 nice to see how far construction on the permanent Bryn Mawr has gone
Excellent video, likes from me
thanks!
That’s Only A Few Stops On The CTA Purple Line From Belmont To Howard😯😮🟣🚞🚉!!!
yeah it's considered an express train the entire way, with all of the construction is not quite as fast but before it used to be faster than metra (regional rail) from Howard to downtown
Great Work👍👏🚞!
This is a Green Line train to Roosevelt.
Great Job👍👏🚞!
This is a Green Line train to Roosevelt.
I am looking for orange line modernization project.
Um what that tren
those drivers on the kennedy sure wish they were on Metra XD
The platforms should be the same color as the train lines
unfortunately the strips on the platform edges need to be visually distinct from the rest of the station for safety of passengers with specific disabilities. having them be the color of the train lines would be fine in most cases, but taking the brown line for instance, where most of the stations have wooden platforms, and it becomes much less clear. not to mention stations where some services interline but aren't in the loop, like Ashland, Morgan, Roosevelt, or Sedgwick
@@AmyLExtraordinaire oh you’re right! I didn’t think about it like that or the brown line
Amtrak needs to finally get the new business class coaches in their consists.
Pretty sure they're already out they're just listed as coach since the consists still vary.
Time?
They actually completed one side of the tracks eh? Looks great!
Nice Ride👍👌🚞!
It did not feel THIS loud on Woodward
I absolutely love train travel, even in coach
zoom! >.<
Cool video, interesting that the CTA doesn't use Third Rail "protection boards" to prevent anything from coming in contact with it. I live in New York City and the Subways, elevated and surface lines, all have Third Rail protection boards.
all we got is temporary ones workers put down for maintenance work stored at each station.
this starts west of Lawtons, near the Welch factory and ends on S 8th street in Oshtemo. Eastbound.
nice catch
thanks!
So cool !!!!
Thank you for doing these short videos Amy
brown looks like orange.
Detroit just bought some new trains from Toronto ❤ one day, I hope to come and see them in motion. I’m so happy that they will be here in service soon.
With a quarter mile or less between stations and the long stops at each, wouldn't it be faster to walk? (and I hope the woman coughing is wearing a mask)
The number of parking structures in downtown Detroit is staggering. It seems that most of the stations are attached to a parking garage. Was this a calculated move to make it easy for drivers to use the system or simply a coincidence?
It was in fact part of the consideration. The original plan for downtown people movers like Detroit's was to have drivers park on periphery of a downtown and use the people mover to get across the core. I'm not sure entirely how this is supposed to help the urban fabric except maybe alleviating traffic congestion in the downtown core? but even then you aren't reducing the amount of trips people take by car
Cool. Did Detroit have a plan to build a metro when the city was booming (close to 2 million citizens)?
Detroit has unfortunately had 6 failed attempts to build a metro of some sort
