A lot of people theorise that the fourth dimension could be time but that would suggest time is a loop. If you take a 1 dimensional line and extend it infinitely it would eventually connect at the ends forming a circle because it would be impossible to extend it in a perfectly straight non curved line so it would bend 360 degrees eventually and form a circle. You get the same thing if you extend a 2 dimensional square because eventually due to the slightest curve it would reach itself. The same idea occurs with a 3rd dimensional object aswell so if time really is the 4th dimension and has some form of direction then eventually it must form a loop. So if the the 4th dimension is time then time is not just infinite but an infinite loop.
This is also maybe true. I read on some articles that in scientific models, time is considered infinite and philosophical models, as an infinite loop. When we will have a new Einstein, he can help answer)
