Hi there, thank you so much for watching, so the process to go to Laos from Thailand with a registered Thai motorbike is very simple , you need green book ( on your name of course ) and a translation in English of your Green Book ( you get that at your Land and Transport office, very easy takes about 30 minutes to make your Thai driver license is already in off , once you get at the border, ( I used the border in Chiang Khong District ) simple and not to many people, there it's easy, Thai border gives you all the paper about 20 minutes finished, then you go Laos border , depending on your Nationality you make a visa on arrival and after that you do Custom they would guide you , but you have to pay for insurance for Laos, and you have to pay for temporary import permit valid for 30 days , the whole process at Laos border toke me about 45 minutes , I hope this helps you and wish you a safe journey .😀

@@Domenicosjourney thanks. i have studied lots of videos about Laos and Cambodia, and I think I will give them both a miss, and just stick to Thailand and Vietnam, and just rent a bike in Vietnam, although I actually think Grab is a better and cheaper option

Hi there, Thanks for watching , so in Khanom Beach to be honest I didn't see any bar, but lots of coffee shop and restaurants, the location at 13:10 is just 5 minutes drive from the hotel mentioned in the video , so for your reference coming out from the hotel you take left and drive about 5 minutes and just by the turn right you take the left to the beach and there is the place. hope this helps you find the place . 😀

No, it was not expected at all, you have 2 route to go up, one is longer but good and the other was the one I did, much more challenging , more hilly but much more panoramic and exciting 😂

hi there, just payed between insurance and TIP 850 Bath, nothing else for the bike then you have to pay for your visa but that has nothing to do with the bike, the insurance and the TIP was made all there at the Border, if your bike has a Thai license plate you have to pay. a TAX at the Thai border of 150 bath. Hope this helps you .
