6.0 Powerstroke Garret Turbo Full Rebuild Step by Step (with torque specs)
Did you ever recall what size nut you used to pull the vgt cap?
I do not I’m sorry
What would you say a timeframe is on turbo removal from truck and rebuild?
I’m not sure it’s different for other people I was taking mine out anyway bc I was putting new intercooler intake manifold gaskets and other stuff in the truck so I’m not sure on just the turbo
I could have missed it but for the 2003 the only difference is turbo pedestal
Not sure if it means anyrhing but you get a like. Great video
Thank you I appreciate it :)
Great video bro. Thanks.. did that 10 blade give you any better whistle?? Lmk.. thanks.
Yes it did it was a big difference I do have a straight pipe so that helps as well
Is this the same install as an LLY duramax?
I am not 100% sure if it is a similar turbo it might still help but I don’t know if it is the same
So ... good , except fasteners are metric sir . ALSO folks that can make use of such instruction ... need to know the proper names of parts .
5/16.... 8mm same thing.. What does is matter anyways? If you use tools on a regular basis you know what SAE & metric sockets match in sizes or are too close to notice or matter. 🤦🏻♂️😄🤔👍🏻🛠️🔧🔩
@tdotw77 That's all good till you have to replace a fastener ( thinking it'll be standard measurement instead of metric ) it's an instruction ... if the information isent complete and correct it confuses those who do not know , like those who are in search of answers .
@tdotw77 Show me a parts counter that has the ability to decipher which "thingamabob" you need from thingamabob on sale this week . Description matters when instruction is offered .
@@smaksymiv4950it's in Video format if you can't follow a long sounds like a you problem.
skipped the part where u put the bushing in te housing -
Nice video! I know it was difficult to film and do simultaneously 👍 Great info 🤓
WD 40 IS NOT A LUBRICANT. LOOK IT UP, PB BLASTER IS BEST TO USE.
Wd worked until pb came along for 40 years. What happened. ??
I followed this video to a T and now my VGT doesn’t work at all after throwing the turbo back in, not blaming you at all but I’m just very confused because it worked fine before i rebuilt my turbo, any help? TIA
No fun. I'd say check you're plug at the vgt first just to make sure it's clean and secure (there's probably some other things you could check before taking it back apart). If you can't find it from there. Its possible an oring split or got pinched. Did you install a new vgt? solenoid
i think it was the timing. he didt have to remove it. now Im trying to figure out my timing teeth.
I’ve watched dozens of videos on rebuilding this turbo. I’d like to say that you did a phenomenal job. I went ahead and downloaded it just because your attention to detail was impressive.
Well done.
thanks i love it ,full explanation
from the outside, that truck is mint man.
Thanks allot I try to keep her clean just did some engine maintenance/repairs over the summer.
Is that the truck you put the rebuilt turbo in ?
