I've been afraid to go to McAdoo, because every time I hear about a place to collect there, someone says, no, not that place, you'll get arrested! No, not THAT ONE either. And they describe climbing down a steep hill hanging onto a rope- I'm 68, and I neither want to be arrested nor fall down a mountain, but I'd love to collect some quartz. I realize you're being cagey about exactly where you are for a reason but I have to ask- where is this and can I go without getting into trouble? I'm in Philadelphia and its a long drive but I'd go in a minute if I knew where.

Thank you, Jake, and Professor Pete, for this video. This was VERY helpful in showing me what I should look for when we go digging. I hate to think of all the spots I've dug in our yard over the years where I may have simply overlooked beautiful crystals because they were crusted in dirt! Of course this means that any project my poor husband does in the yard is going to be complicated by my "Wait! I think I see something!" Also, watching the video and hearing Jake go "There's something." while I squint to see what he might be pointing to really makes me frustrated that I'm far-sighted. LoL
