As far as I know, Mei and Sakura are both katana users and both from Japan. Yet I don't know exactly why they are connected.

unfortunately Mihoyo has rewritten most of the plot background to the point that Sakura and Kallen hardly exist (in this way at least). It’s a shame, and with PE sakura being in the elysian realm story, I really hope mihoyo revisits their story at some point. lots of people really like the two characters and it feels like they arent even in honkai anymore

the thing is, in the manga it says HoC couldnt got be trasnfered as a Key and HoC acted as a Virus who got as for now to elysia realm there a lot of inconsistenses but couldnt bet an alt timeline where rin its higoku

I can't remember every detail but in short Yae Village worshipped a "god" by sacrificing (virgins or a Miko, i can't remember ) to get rain and protection from honkai in exchange. Yae Sakura and and Yae Rin were the daughters of the head of the village. One day the village made an unsuccessful sacrifice so the "gods" demanded more, Yae's father decided to offer Rin since she was sick. Sakura was forced to do the sacrifice. After this Sakura resented the village and isolated herself. Years later Kallen appeared in the village with a box that contained the 12th Herrscher of the previous era. She got wounded by some honkai and ended in a river. Sakura found her and nursed her. They eventually fell in love. During that time the Herrscher toke advantage of Yae and her resentment with the village so it corrupts the Miko. Kallen seals Yae in the box and gets sentenced to death by Schicksal for stealing the box. Otto tries to save her by liberating some honkai in the city, but Kallen gets seriously wounded protecting a girl. According to the latest chapters in the game she survived, but due to all the corruption she witnessed she felt into despair and gave up on life. She eventually got hanged.

Spoiler from the manga: If I remember correctly, Bronya was helping Kiana with her studies, so Bronya made a special VR gadget allowing Kiana to enter the world where Kallen was still alive. Alright to the main point, she does by a honkai beast as she was saving a little girl.

It happens outside the main story. After meeting Sakura and sealing her she goes back to Europe and is sentenced to death for taking the box. Otto tries to set up an escape for her by letting out honkai beasts but kallen being a kaslana tried to defend the people from the beasts instead of running. Eventually one kills her

bubble universe. it's a similar case with doctor mei. from what I understand. Memento sakura and dark jonnin are not technically miko sakura. I dotn know much about ninja one. but it seems like memento is sister to higokumaru. That's why it was easier for her to corrupt a miko closely reassembling her sister with similar story. so miko,sakitama are same. jonnin is different memento is different

Higokumaru is the little sister of previous Era Yae Sakura, while Rin was the little sister of Current Era Yae Sakura

they removed it, due to samsara arc is already over and yae sakura rebirthed as yae kasumi who is already in ths hyperion, whom'st pledged loyalty to us captains.

@@tobiferrer2339 pretty sure Yae Kasumi is from a different Bubble Universe and not the actual Yae from the main canon timeline, if I remember correctly the real Yae Sakura is now inside the stigmata world after giving her power to Theresa.

@@mi-chan4148 Once again from what I know, Kallen died long time ago. Otto couldn't forget how much he loves her and he tried to resurrect her. Theresa was made with Kallen's sample and something else so yeah. Kiana was captured by Otto and gave her a gem which turned her into Queen of Void. Yae Sakura has been immortal then with the curse.
