I've loved this duo for years after hearing them "live" in a French Quarter bar, New Orleans. Lucky me. Their music was a beautiful surprise. And it still brings me joy!

Just off the Rotterdam April 2024. The ship is elegant with a wrap around promenade like the old ocean liners. However, she rocks back and forth in high seas and is a little unstable!

I found "Willie and Lobo" in early 2018 after I moved to Medford Oregon. A local radio station (97.7 fm) plays "Willie and Lobo" quite a bit and I became a fan. If I was forced to pick just one favorite song from the duo it would be "Havana Vieja"... truly a masterpiece. Whenever it comes on, I stop what I am doing and listen to it. I didn't find out about Willie passing away until later. So sad. Jim

I landed in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in the winter of 1981, and Wolfgang was playing sets in Mama Mia's restaurant. He was a local celebrity, and had a blonde girlfriend and a motorcycle (what more could a man want?). I spent several more winters there through the 80s, as did Wolfgang. I never knew what had become of him after that. Until about fifteen years ago, when I opened up my local (Sarasota) newspaper and read about this famous world-music duo that was coming to town. So then I knew!

I have adored them since the moment I heard them in a random shop in 1993. Absolute soul. ❤
