A renowned erhu performer, Ching Sau-wing is currently the Committee member of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society and Nationalities Orchestra Society and the Honorary Committee member of the Erhu Society under the Chinese Musicians Association, Visiting Professor at the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy, Artistic Director of Hong Kong City Chinese Orchestra, and erhu instructor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He was formerly a soloist with the Young Musicians Ensemble of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Concertmaster of the Fujian Song and Dance Theatre Chinese Orchestra, and Acting/Assistant Erhu Principal of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
