    I like your way to give an information, the main for the lessons today is to be as short as possible :), so, you showed in 1 video 3 elements, that is great!! Thank you!!

  • @Alex-horsman
    @Alex-horsman 14 дней назад

    Is it just dressage elements or they are needed for daily hobby work with the horse for some reasons? Thanks.

      All dressage work is great for all horses. I just had a trail riding student contact me yesterday letting me know her dressage work helped get her out of a sticky situation out on the trails. Not only is it fun to teach your horse new things but it is good for their fitness and mobility which will keep them healthy and comfortable through their body. I hope you will find the entire lessons series on my channel and enjoy. I am also in the process of developing a riding app. What kind of help would you like to see on an app if you were looking for one?

    • @Alex-horsman
      @Alex-horsman 14 дней назад

      @susanrainville5978 I am a hobby class owner of horses. I started to look for some lessons, just because realized, that my riding is not comfortable enough for both me and my horses. Of course all the terminology is also new for me, but if the app. will have some short descriptions and short lessons (so as we are always short of time these days) , it will be helpful, but want exactly I need, I can not describe precisely, just anything to have comfortable walk, trott and canter riding my horses :), thank you!!

    Hello and thank you for your video on strengthening your horses core. I would love to have a conversation with you though. I have an 11 year old arab mare and she is incredibly sweet and intelligent. The problem being that she comes with only ready to ride training. Not to worry,, I am happy to train her. My question is regarding strengthening her entire body. She is very "left handed" so the muscle groups in the chest area are larger on that side up through the shoulder. I need to get the right side the same way. I do not want her in any pain because of this. Ground work is good, she softens up very well but can be stubborn with the lead. Could you offer me some advice on everyday exercises I can do now, to get her string and healthy to ride train in the spring?

    Why do you need the head to be down?

    • @susanrainville5978
      @susanrainville5978 Год назад

      When a horse's head is down they horse is in a relaxed and submissive position. Teaching them to put their head down on cue helps them to relax in a stressful situation and eventually they manage themselves. When a horse keeps their head down for a long enough period of time their heart rate goes down and they can calm down. As dressage riders we want our horses to learn to work in a relaxed physical state.
