Mr. Wilson was the band director when I attended Ole Miss in 96-97. He is one of the absolute nicest, kindest people I have ever met. I wish him all the best.

why do you call it the Grove Show Egg Bowl? Every home game, it is the same routine and same music and half of the music is warm ups.

This is a tragedy. Their refusal to play Dixie is a sin and a shame. I don't know why anyone goes to the Grove anymore for a pregame show. It's just not the same. It's not worth going. If everyone would boycott, they would bring it back. Sadly, Ole Miss is now, just another nameless SEC school...nothing special anymore.

Long time Clemson fan that’s always loved ole miss in the grove. I miss the days when they played Dixie. Maybe one day a petition or something can come up. Those new athletic directors are idiots

With all the lawyers from that school, you would think there would've been some way for the band to be able to retain all the scores for the school's original fight songs. The particular NCAA big wigs who chose to nix this school's fight songs, yet not apply the same standards to other schools, should have been identified and sued long ago. Now, enough graduates have come and gone such that, if the school were ever again allowed to play their original scores, they'd need a bevy of alums to join-in just to get the requisite sound quality.

There is tuning problems in the saxes and clarinets and the percussions are a lil too loud and the clarinets can really push more air

Miss my Dixie

This piece of music was commissioned by a hard-working middle school band, to honor a musical legend in their local community (Paul Enix), many years ago. I know, because I was part of it. We worked *so hard* to raise the money to afford this piece. I haven't heard it since we played it for him all those years ago. It is *so* beautiful to hear again. Thank you for posting. This really took me back. 🥰

Guys you should see how my school did It we use a stand and this medley is so awesome please keep performing it every year it is something everyone will love and look forward to. This is a good tradition for concerts as is Hallelujah Chorus. 5:15
