I saw this concert when we had just Reassigned to Ft Riley, KS after almost 5 years in Germany... I did aldo get to see Depech Mode and The Cure over there 🤩
The best!
Love their concerts!
Just came across this today…wow sounded great then and saw them this summer at Red Rock and the guys were amazing..funny Robby had shoes ON in 1996…wonder when he gave them up ?? Anyway love these guys…just utterly amaze me…. THank you.
It's insane to me that he's 30 here🤯 Always gonna impress me how it sounds like Johnnys playing for two, such a full sound
♥️ googoodolls my favorite band 💋
Love this live version!... Early Goo Goo Dolls reminds me of early Posies... =)

Oh man, I was lucky enough to be at this show, way up in the nosebleeds. It was the summer I graduated from high school. Wow, takes me back. I didn’t even know this was recorded. Thank you for uploading!
you were lucky man i'm 16 (I guess i'm a new generation fan,tho I hate saying that) love the 90s and GGD.Seemed like a great era glad you enjoyed the show.
nice and raw love it
This makes me feel young again
I remember watching when it aired as a teenager. Been looking for this video for a long time! I had recorded it onto a VHS and my sister recorded over it with MTV music videos- mostly The Spice Girls and various boy bands. I thought I’d never see this video again!
Were they the headliners or did they open for another band?
0:00 - Naked 3:58 - Impersonality 6:46 - Long Way Down 10:14 - John throw guitar for the drums
💗💗 love Johnny
Saw Bush a few weeks later 29/11/95 at the Bristol Bierkeller. Not a very big venue and only half full. Sadly they've never had the recognition here at home that they deserved. However it made for a wonderfully intimate gig and as a bonus they were supported by the then unheard of Placebo. Happy happy fuckin days.
Thank you for uploading. They are touring a lot now and I hope they will continue. Great band.
I remember that this episode of PBS's "On Tour" was my first experience with Rock when I was like 11. This episode featured The Goo Goo Dolls, Smashing Pumpkins and James Hall. I've been looking for the James Hall segment like crazy all over the web. There are just two songs on the official James Hall VEVO youtube channel. The Smashing Pumpkins part is already on youtube, but that James Hall Set was AMAZING! Can anyone shed any light?
GRBmusic me too. its also what got me into metal with sepultura, whitezombie, and pantera. noone believes me when I tell em about on tour hahaha
Thank you for this upload, I have this on VHS & spent years trying to find it on you tube.
Back in the day when music was actually live music......not lip synching
laughs in milli vanilli
lip syncing has been around since the 60's my man
(Every superbowl performer sweats nervously)
***** The percussionist is Jonathan Melvoin. He played on "Silverfuck". I wish they'd released the WHOLE show, not just the 50+ minutes that have been aired in the 90s. It's a great show. Missed opportunity for me...
WOW this had to be a trucken great show! I have been a fan of the goo for 23 years! This April 2014 get to see them live 2 times in the same week! Chicago, and OHIO! There is nothing better, the GOO Live CRUISEHR2 inner-machine member
Why is it so fucking impossible to find this concert in full?
Stuart Colquhoun It was on RUclips not that long ago, 2 and three quarters hours of greatness, but now it's been taken down. I've spent aaages trying to find some way to get it but can't find it anywhere on the internet :(
Pure bliss.
Do you know the line up of the bands for this episode, I can't find it online. Thanx in advance.
TheCkretlink Goo Goo Dolls, The Smashing Pumpkins and James Hall.
Give anything to have been old enough to drive back then, would have gone to so many shows !!!!!!!!!
wow, wish could have been old enough to, be on that tour,, mannn!!!!!!!
I remember there were 3 bans featured in this episode of "On Tour". Smashing Pumpkins, The Goo Goo Dolls and I don't know who the other one was. I remember watching the show and I really enjoyed the songs. Does anyone know who the other band was?
White Zombie.
In the MCIS reissue there's a DVDE of this show - one thing I can't figure out - who is the second percussionist? There's another dude with drums and cymbals to the left of JC.
they rocked that night, shit dont seem that long aago
Glitch in the upload....or bugs in the software....that....or the liquid-acid is bringing on a stroke on my left-side. Hahaha
As toxic as they're relationship could get, these guys were magic on stage.
thank you sooo much gavin... your a saint... didnt know that the title came from a bad first date for your mate
wow PBS used to be cool?? lol love bush thanks for the upload
god!!!!! my youth right there. greatest days of my life. no place in the world like red rocks no band like bush. just awesome.
NOW THIS IS POWER!!!!!!
omg...i remember watching this on pbs in '96! the show 'on tour' was hosted by a weird animated british character and conducted interviews with the bands. thanks for posting this! can't believe you have it
same outfit from the naked video same blue shirt
@bedsheetsbailey this was the best era
i have this on VHS. ;)
@monstermunch26 -Honestly I do not remember all of the songs that were preformed when I had seen it. I want to say there were more songs played but I honestly cant remember, so dont take my word for it. I was fairly young when I had seen this on TV
Thanks my favorite!!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS !!! How did you find it?
This is sweet, thanx. This song Bubbles is hard to find. Never seen that performance of Glycerine either. Thanks again. Rob
So happy to run across this. I saw it late one night on tv back in the 90's and actually recorded it on VHS (if anyone knows what those are anymore) highly wished I could find it to transfer it on DVD. This concert was amazing even watching it off a tv screen. His voice is just hypnotizing, and it shows talent cause its all live, no lip singing. Man how I miss the music from the 90's
We all do
Wow, I've never seen this one before. Looked like an amazing show! Same year I saw them in concert for the first time too! Whoohoo! I love Johnny's guitar solos! And all three songs are totally kick ass! Thank you so much for posting! =). Love Goo Goo Dolls! =)
06:47 - Long Way Down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow, never seen this before, thank you for upload :)
