I started this article and I felt so guilty, that I closed the bag of pretzels before I went on in the reading. I have that visual of the fruit vs the junk, processed food.

I disagree with the notion that there aren’t more healthy food options like greenfare because (paraphrasing) “treating the root problem would eliminate drugs and other treatments”.. it’s because most of the Greenfare’s of the world taste like crap and are hard to find. There are numerous healthy options out there because consumers want them- maybe not small independent biz like Greenfare (which is too bad!). Most people live hectic lives and find a release in eating unhealthy. (Completely agree with the addiction aspect you mention).

Great discussion. Yes, we need to do better with our food choices. Change is difficult. I have tried to switch to a plant-based diet, only to give up after a week or two. I will definitely try again. Fortunately, many restaurants now offer plant-based and vegan options. You just have to do a little research to figure out which restaurants have these options.
