OP's brother is dating a girl who was invited to the baby shower, and she passed along info on where it was located to the ex, who proceeded to show up and cause a scene. He was under the delusion that they'd never actually broken up and that the baby was actually his. Long story short, the poster and her boyfriend moved to a new location because they felt unsafe, the ex was placed in a mental hold, but was released and almost immediately tried to talk to the current boyfriend still thinking the baby was his. Sister in law (the one who gave the ex the baby shower info) was sleeping with the ex, which prompted the poster's brother to break up with her, and the ex eventually ended his own life through wrecking his mother's car in the middle of the night.
