After watching his movie with tears in my eyes, I know understand him even more and how his life is a testimony to the Real love of Jesus. How he wrote the song Awesome God made me cry even more and how I can draw closer to God. 📖✝️☝️

Very timely video, for me. This has stirred a few thoughts in me, as shared below, after watching only 3:00 minutes of this clip. I have learned the battle I contend is often due to my inability to understand and accept tough experiences and pain as being ordained by My Savior, despite the very suffering Christ experienced while fulfilling God’s calling on this earth. Christ-like-ness requires knowing the Christ and NOT a preached buddy that gets you everything you want. The Christ I am familiar with, through the records of those who were in his presence, walked through abundant life with a need to draw away with his Father, God, to be alone; rest; speak to the devil words recorded by the forefathers of Judaism, inspired by God; rebuked the applause; changed plans due to fame; and carried his cross AFTER being betrayed by his close companions and those he discipled: gave to, ate with, and taught; cried and sweat out his will in exchange for God’s brutal will to be done; absorbed the physical beating(s) without independent rights and the freedom warranting a lawsuit or firearm(s) response. Actually, his calling called him to die (like, face death without friends and family around the bed consoling him) amongst the rejected and despised criminals and reprobates of society. Again, this WAS Christ’s calling. Why today’s version of being Christ-like fails to resemble this is baffling to me. And it sadly limits my ability to thank God in the midst of the storms, for the joy of suffering, which IS a biblical response to a life full of challenges.

Rich Mullins has his ups and downs, yet you never give up! He strive to be like Christ and his heart was on Fire for the lord! If we just humble our self's and seek him and never give up and repent and turn from our ways, God will hear us from Heaven and heal our land. Thank the lord for Rich and his Family, blessings to all that read this.

I could listen to Rich speak all day. He's been a lifeline for me and I know well the pain that he was speaking of. Now I'm working on the Joy thing, but it's a task, and I must remember that it's a journey and not a sprint. For anyone who is going through the depression that Rich Mullins speaks of, I have found that the Franciscan University Presents, a Catholic Guide to Depression, is a powerful tool for the journey Home 👍 Dr Scott Hahn and the panel of folks do a excellent job at looking at depression and giving helpful information to those who are dealing with it. I love listening to Rich talk as HE has a refreshing honesty and straight forward simplicity in how he approaches things. I say has but it should be had as HE has gone on to be with God.
