Just use the Input menu item and disable "Mouse Integration" and it should work.

@zai-tm simple answer is that I just thought it would be safer and had less chance of screwing up my computer. Plus I'm sorta new to linux as a whole so using VM's is a good starting point for practicing. Edit: and the reason I wanted to try minecraft was less because I wanted to actually use minecraft and more because I wanted to see if it would work at all

@@gamerehtisham I do use arch with KDE environment (am switching to hyprland soon anyway) and the sensitivity made no change. didnt even change the speed of spinning

does the game show xbox or playstation controller button hints when trying to use the keyboard. if so, you might want to make sure you dont have a controller plugged in because I think sea of thieves tries to only use controller when one is plugged in (other than that, I don't know sorry)

@@TheRealNanoz it doesn’t the mouse works perfectly but the keybaord inputs doesn’t work in the game but works if i want to move in the main menu on xbox

@@MikeTV11 probably… I would try log in to see if I too have the problem but thing is my old PC (that had sea of thieves installed) managed to fry itself about 3 months ago and I haven’t tried installing sea of thieves on the new one yet

@@satoruclc8506 I am unsure whether it is considered cheating now due to people finding out how to use it for zero recoil and stuff (also I think the method I used to do this is disabled now). However when I made this post, it was certainly not a ban-able feature on controller despite it still being widely hated by a large portion of the apex community.

​@@TheRealNanozwell it was bannable if you look at the TOS but it was not detectable so no ban, when it got fixed it also got detected in some way, some people still found way to cheat but it always has been considered a macro

@@Ruka_ huh, I thought I saw something a while ago about devs used to encourage the use of cfg's. but you may be right especially considering that apex is cracking down on stuff like macros now.

If I remember correctly (haven’t used the steam controller set up for a while) I had bound right bumper to the jump button and then crouch was B (Xbox controller). It is why you don’t see me shoot while strafing because my finger was on bumper and couldn’t use trigger EDIT: spelling mistake

You can find RUclips tutorials on how to make a Neo strafe controller layout config through steam settings however my one doesn’t work anymore (don’t think it is apex stopping my config, I think it is just broken)

There are many tutorials on how to do it on both controller or m&k. I used a controller and changed the “steam controller layout” so that my movement joystick would create multiple WASD inputs (like scroll wheel) in the direction it is held rather than holding the key like it normally does.

Yeah, not a huge fan on configs overall and likely never will be. but especially with the addition of aim assist from controller… that is just not a fun player to face against

@@TheRealNanoz yeah it’s not I’ve spent the last 3 days trying to learn how to neo strafe and I’ve got tap strafing and bunny hopping down I’m probably gonna need another 4 to learn neo strafing and a month or three just to get close to mastering it but with the external modifications to the game Yall do you guys learn one of the hardest movement techniques in a day or two

I always thought arenas was bad and never liked it personally. It was only after they removed it did I see how good it really was and wish it was never removed

I dont tend to use configs (nor have I played apex in 3 months) however I think it is okay for controller players to use configs but dont like the idea of keyboard and mouse players using it

(this is my opinion, not trying to pass it off as a fact or anything)
