The basic "gold standard" radon test method used here is a great starting point to try and determine if you have a radon problem. If however, any of your neighbors have issues already, then purchase of a longer-term radon measurement solution is warranted, and a better solution is to purchase an Ecosense or Airthings monitor. Academics can quibble about the absolute accuracy of such electronic devices, but in truth, their accuracy +/- 20% isn't an issue. The determination of the causes of radon level changes in the home is far more important.

Depreciation is irrelevant. What matters is cash flow. Using the truck example. The truck cost $30000 but you pay for it over a 5 year term. So for 5 years that truck costs the operation $6000 per year. If you don't have the $6000/year to pay for the truck with the cash flow from the operation , that truck will be taken away.

@@jmfarms3555 lol. you worded that so oddly. but also what about the subsequent years when it is paid off? now you dont owe $6000 a year. or during use, you depreciate it to lower your taxes. Use the offset for your balance.

While the traditional Hereford/Aberdeen Angus baldy does well in the more temperate climates.they show heat stress in the south, why not look into a heat tolerant baldy using the Mashona (Bos Taurus Africanus) which has well marbled beef, highly fertile and will produce an F1 with a higher heterosis influence than two British breeds. The F1 could then be bred to any terminal breed - including a terminal Angus strain, and still benefit from a high heterosis effect.sangacattle.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=13579858 sangacattle.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=15962207

You see recently with the winter storm down here in Texas one of the smaller pine trees we have on our property lost several of it's large branches. I got those branches off of the tree and it's other branches so it wouldn't put too much weight on the smaller ones. Although, I noticed today while I was pulling the broken branches off that where the branches had broken (at the base of the branch against the tree) it looks infected with something. Some of the inner-wood was exposed and it looks like it has a lot of black/dark brown spots along with some white/grey spots and I noticed one green looking section. Hopefully I can save the tree, but I don't know how to treat the infection if it is one, because I don't know how to identify it. I think it could be a fungi infection or something. Some of the pine needles on the broken branch had white and black spots. Edit: Greetings from East Texas. Another Edit: The pine is a Short-leaf Pine Tree.

It is hard for me to say without seeing the tree but here is more information about tree wounds/decay: www.mortonarb.org/trees-plants/tree-and-plant-advice/horticulture-care/trunk-wounds-and-decay It would be a good idea to reach out to your local County Extension Agent or a certified arborist to help access the damage.
