@VanessaKleynhans can't I express my desire through prayer that God would save someone? Don't you ever pray for God to do that for someone you love?

If I ask God according to his will, will he not answer my prayer?

​@mattj117 I think God answers every prayer. But to your point, yes if we pray according to His will, then we have assurance He will answer in the affirmative.

@@ENGAGEGospelOutreach amen, so in response to her comment, we can ask God to save people and be assured he will answer our prayers. Why? Because it’s already in his will, and God is faithful to do what he has said.

Jim, I found the talk interesting as well. (This is just a brief snippet.) I shared it because, we as Christians, need to remember that atheists are not our enemies; I certainly don't view them that way. Smalley seems to be a very likable guy who is simply a sinner like me, who needs to come to the knowledge of God. He likes to talk about about what is true, and we should be very willing to engage people like him - not vilify them. We will all probably meet someone like him someday. I know you know all of this Jim, and probably agree, just sharing my rationale for sharing the video.

Thank you Heather for the comment. I hear your heart and your frustration. I do think there's a balance we must maintain. We should hold people accountable to live up to their profession of faith, but at the same time, none of us have mastered this Christian life because we are all works in progress. Therefore, grace and forgiveness must abound.

@ENGAGEGospelOutreach I do forgive and give lots of grace! This weekend just got to me. We went camping for Sukkot (Tabernacles), and they all were scattered. They would rather have fun with the Halloween fest instead of spending time with God. The reason why we were there. Nothing that I had worked so hard to out together happened. It hurt so bad! I am trying to teach them, but they let their busy lives rule them instead of God and Jesus. Yet, they claim they do God's will; but reality really don't as much as they say they do. I understand we are works in progress, and that fact is actually brought into this celebration. But my one friend died just after she understood what I preach is true. Just after she had her revelation, she turned away when she went to help her daughter. Her daughter turned her away so quickly, and then she died! I miss her so much, and I don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else! There must be growth! Not static or backward walking. Some of the people that came started off good. Came to church, but then started to let their lives swallow them again. They bicker so much, instead of listening to God. I feel like a refree sometimes. Flag on the play, and then a firefighter putting out fires. It was like that all weekend. It was supposed to be fun being with God! But, the pettiness! Man!🙏🙏 Breathe, God in; and let the bad out! It reminds me of the seed that fell on different grounds. It hurts because I see the potential that they have. I am sure it is the same hurt the Prophets of Old felt, too! Your video came at God's right time to tell me I am not alone! They felt it, too! It hurts when people say one thing and then do another! You give yourself to help them understand who God is and what He wants. To not even get to tell them the message, and therefore, not even understand why we went out there. I do keep moving forward and forgive, and pray they will hopefully one day get it before it is too late!🙏🙏💋🥰💗 I thank God for you doing this video!🙏🙏 I also thank him for having you be there for me, too! My friend who died was the last one I was able to really talk to directly like we are doing! As equals in a profession that requires a lot of patience, understanding, love, peace, and Grace!
