Teah, it's a place I drove past many times while visiting Gatlinburg and never stopped by. So I finally broke down one day and made the visit, and was glad I finally did.

The info said it was a 1st-Century BC Allobrogian warrior chief. So somebody buried way before the cathedral was built, and they built it on top of him. I wonder how often that has happened throughout history - getting something hundreds of years or millennia later on top of a grave?

Hi, thanks for stopping by my channel. It was open to the public, at least it was back when I did this hike. I haven't been over there since so it may have changed. But there was roadside parking enough there for two cars, which is plenty because I don't think anybody uses this entrance very much.

I read that in addition to Alien and Species, Giger also had a heavy influence on Dune before David Lynch stepped in and took it over. Then his influence was narrowed down a bit. Giger said he always wanted to work with Lynch because one of his favorite films was Eraserhead - that movie gave me the creeps, so I can easily see how it appealed to him.

It may have been mentioned in one of the two video displays that I passed up. I haven't seen either movie about the Indianapolis, but now that I know I will check them out. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for stopping by my channel! That was the first time I have been to the battleship Alabama since I was 9 or 10 years old (around 1980) and I had so much fun going through it again. I'm from the north end of the state so I don't get down to Mobile much. :)

Hi, thanks for stopping by my channel! The climb up the AT to get to the tower was definitely worth it. On the flip side I did NOT enjoy that Lost Cove Trail on the way down. Very steep and covered in leaves, so it was like "leaf skiing" for a few miles.
