Still getting great results with Trend Skeleton Hinge Jig

I got a new camera for some upcoming projects and content, let me know what you think about the quality in the comments below. Its the Canon G7X mark 1. Swinging doors becomes second nature when you have the right tools and knowledge. Using the Trend Skeleton hinge jig and Makita Cordless 1/4" router is my favourite tool duo. This video is a little snippet of setting it up and using the jig but...

My model is the LS1219L and it does not come with the Black Rail Support. Since I have purchased this MAKITA? I have never looked back to my single-bevel DELTA Miter Saw. Btw- Is there a reason why you do not use your Vertical Clamp Device that comes with the machine? Even id I do not tighten it? I still engaged it in order prevent the material from kicking up. In fact I am getting ready to purchase two MAKITA horizontal Clamp Vices to install at the in-feed and out-feed... Good video review...

Thanks for the review, but as you say heavy saw requires a heavy duty saw stand, you got the lightest and cheapest one here for one of the biggest saws. Makita recommends the WST01N for this saw. I definately agree on the wheels though, its still an expensive stand so rubber better placed wheels would be appropriate I think.

Nice review Phil. I especially enjoyed the embedded nail experiment! I do beleive it is pronounced "Froyd." Also what you were calling "gulleys" are technically called "gullets" and they are really important for material removal to help keep the blade moving forward, faster and reducing burning. Combo blade (higher TPI) gullets are usually shallower than rip blade (lower TPI) gullets because the combo blade is designed as much for cutting wood fibers which usually produces much smaller chips (also taking it longer to make rip cuts). Rip blade gullets tend to be deep because the blades are designed to "chip" away at the wood producing larger chipsmaking and making faster cuts than combo or crosscut blades. Last thought on blade thickness (kerf). I prefer to use thicker kerfed blades on my table and job site saws - they are more stable with less wobble than the thin kerf variety, especially on deeper cuts. Thicker kerf blades also seem to remove material more efficiently than thin kerf blades allowing the blades to run smoother and cooler. Keep em coming...

Thanks for the video, but when cutting on the table saw, push the piece through that is in between the fence and blade, the cutoff is of secondary importance and if pushing that part of the piece through, there is potential for kickback.

Hi mate, thanks for taking the time to comment. Building sites are not just filled with tools, they also are filled with workers who rely on products like these to keep them in action without health issues. I'm sorry that your having a bad Monday and you're upset about hand soap, maybe you should have a look at ScrubbGlobal.com and find some effective products to help keep your hands as smooth and as clean as your brain. Best of luck!
